I want to talk about oiling out a painting today.

Oil paintings dry unevenly and it’s especially visible when you see a painting at an angle (like I show on the picture) Some areas are dull and others are quite glossy.. When we want to make adjustments on top of a dry layer, it’s good to even it out and bring some of those dull/faded areas back to life so that we’ll see what colors we’re actually dealing with. Portrait Painting in Profile

Hey! Here's a new 3+ hours long video where I show you my painting process in real-time. 

This painting is still in progress right now but I believe it's 80% done and I'll show you the final result as soon as its finished.
