I got a suggestion to start sharing GIFs of the development process more often...
While working I tend to create many little things that can only be shown in motion, soooo.... Since I found a fast way of making said gifs using Shadowplay and Photoshop.. why not indeed?
Its all gonna be work in progress shots: fixing bugs and adding features! Hope those will be fun little updates for you to see :}

Hizathri have a very large genetic pool, which shows in their diversity of subspecies...
This is all possible thanks to their over the top reproduction system, which gave them an ability to consciously approach the process of creating offsprings, almost like creating art. And so in search for more experiences, they love getting in relationships with other species, which sometimes leads to creating various hybrids, adding more interesting genes to their ancestral history.

A non-physical plane of existence, the Crossroads. It is a path that you need to take when transitioning from one level to another.
Each level is a fresh start of some sort, no items and inventory carries over to the new world, but all the acquired knowledge, unlocked species, and tech always remains with you. At least you get an easier start each new level, plus it opens up more opportunities to learn some additional knowledge that wouldn't be possible to acquire on the old levels.

Just got this awesome plugin for Visualisator! I can't wait to play with it and see what can I do with this absolutely amazing looking fur system for Unreal Engine 4.
I don't have any example of my work using it yet, because I just bought it a few minutes ago and I'm still busy working on the Planes of Existence design, so for now I will have to show you their product showcase/trailer, but as soon as I have some time to give to the 3d artwork again, I will post about my experiments with fur!

So, I started to work on a new map! Right now its a lifeless and empty desert, but later I shall populate it with rocks, trees, grass, villages. This map is huge and will surely take me a while to complete. First step will be to draw some concept art to determine further asset development, and I already started that. This way I will have a list of all things I need to model for the environments!

Lots of new species sculpted! Now onto making game-ready retopology for them, as well as making female versions. These sculpts will be also used to create many variations of in-game models.

So it's time for the new update!
The biggest feature is the inventory system... that was a lot of code, Hopfel really nailed it! Additionally we added some UI, even if for the most part it's not actually hooked up to anything yet (it will be, in later updates). Plus there is a couple more work-in-progress maps to wander around... Ah, and also, multiplayer is kinda broken at the moment xD Well it works, but shooting weapons doesn't show up correctly.

Some of the UI elements right here! Can't wait to put it all into the game.
The cross of slots in the middle is my take on a pop-up radial menu... works well with d-pad as well...
The red bar at the bottom is your health, top bar is the target's health.

IBL means image-based-lighting.. You put an HDR image and it lights up the scene!
Up to this moment, if someone shown me this image, I'd ask what raytracing renderer they used... I'd never guess it's all real-time, 30 frames per second on my old 750ti
