New year's resolution: write status update posts more often. I hope it works. 😊
What I recently did:
Synchronizing store versions to 1.0.3
Over the whole December I was busy building and releasing versions to the different stores. Bugs got reported, I fixed them, but normally only released a new version on the platform the bug was reported on. So, after a few weeks I had vseveral different versions in the stores. There were two v1.0.0, a ...

I hope you all had great holidays and a good December in general. 2019 is incoming, so be prepared!
I got sick right after Christmas and didn't get to do any of the things I planned to do before the end of the year and month. I tried to at least recreate and upload "Ready For Mindless Trance" for use with v1.0, but it's no use working today. Everyone is getting in touch, sending messages or calling or else. I give up, There will be a more elaborate status post at the en...

Hi, I got asked by someone what has happened to the ability to switch spirals and they asked me to bring it back.
What are your thoughts / wishes on that?
Should I bring back the ability to change spirals in the in-session menu?
Feel free to discuss in the comments or over at Discord.

Here's the current state of my planning. Try to read it like a skilltree in a game. For example, When the merge of the SessionMaker into the main MMM project is done I can start on a Preview Screen in the edior. When I have implemented the Preview screen I can begin developing a custom spiral editor and supporting it in MMM. And so on.
As always, I'm happy to answer all the questions you might have. 🙂

Okay, I've collected a lot of features you or myself thought of or wished for. Of course I cannot make all of them true at once. In any case, I'll try to shift my focus just enough so that I hope to release at least one session file per month.
I had to sort all the features and organized them in a bit of an order on several different "fronts". I will need to compile it all in a skill-tree like graph or something, so that you and others have a good idea where things are going and it will make f...

Yesterday in the evening it finally happened. MMM is available in the first two stores. This is a huge milestone for me and the project.
The App is priced at about 20 US-Dollars, the price may vary due to how the store is handling (international) pricing. If you are or have been a patron and contributed a lifetime support of at least $20 I will send you promo codes / redeem codes for all the stores. If you did not receive messages with store keys, please get in touch!

It's been way too long again. Today things are in a bit of a different format.
Most of you know that I've been working on bringing MMM to official stores for quite some time now. Originally I planned to release back in April 2018. Things have been too buggy and too incomplete back then. A few examples were missing acceptable controller support or the different binaries needed for 2D and VR on mobile platforms. I tried my best since then taking measures to actually be able to release to the sto...

It's about time that Beta supporters get their hands on the latest beta. In general, I'm feature complete, only bugs to find and fixes to do. That means that store versions are on the horizon. :-)
What's new since Beta 1.0.2:
Features & Improvements
- Daydream: controller support is back
- improved synchronicity in strobe effect
- iOS: support for "iTunes File Sharing"
- improved framerate management

Time for a new update. :-)
What I recently did:
iTunes FileSharing for iOS
Starting work on the iOS version opened a box of pain. For the last few months I let Unity Cloudbuild take care of creating the iOS binaries. But getting it to compile on my Mac and run fine on my own test devices proved difficult and it took me a days to find the causes and eventual fixes. And yesterday I was able to setup and finalize the iTunes File Sharing feature. On iO...

It's September already. Did somebody speed up the year somehow? Diidn't get to do much since last update.
What I recently did:
Better framerate management
Beta 1 could easily slow down to a less-than-optimal framerate. This was not a performance problem but my fault. I fixed it and also made sure that high-end computers don't heat up indefinitely due to MMM trying to render as many frames per second as possible. There's no use in rendering hundreds...

An overdue update…
What I recently did:
Beta 1 (and Beta 1.0.1 and Beta 1.0.2 and Beta 1.0.3)
I released Beta 1 first to the Alpha supporters and a sometime later to Beta supporters. And people started reported problems and bugs. Most of them had to do with controller support not working as expected and it turned out, handling different platforms has still a few kinks (not the fun sort of kink) in it, even when using a unified system like the one...

Good evening my patient supporters!
It took me quite some time but I can finally give you an improved and bugfixed Beta 1. While I did not take care of issues woth the tech tests (I will remove those soon) I did fix quite some issues with input and tracked controllers. Also the support for SteamVR is now working again.
Please download and enjoy. Personally, I can't wait to get back to working on the next version, Beta 2.

Hi. Several people ran into a problem with the GearVR version. If you had no remote controller then you got stuck early on as you weren't able to interact with the menus. And even if you had a remote then there still was a chance you got stuck depending on if your device was configured for left-handedness or not.
If you are curious: the underlying problem was that due to unknown reasons the oculus reports to me that both the left hand controller a<s well as the right one are present a...

Hello my dear Patrons!
Beta1 is now ready for you Beta supporters to test. Things are going good and while this cannot be considered a release candidate just yet, it isn't too far from it.
It might be not too obvious but a lot of things were done since the last alpha version. Improved scene loading, nearly full support for all of the VR platforms, overhauled controller handling, better performance, etc.
ATTENTION to GearVR users: Resigning using the SideloadVRInjec...

How did I miss so many status updates again? :,-(
But, fret not. Good news incoming. I got around to do sooo many things. And that on top of doing a course in mobile VR app development from the guys of Unity (and of course the usual client work). While it took some time out of my budget for MMM it showed me some techniques I can use for MMM and it motivated me much more than I expected myself.
What I recently did:
Refactored scene loading

Hello my patrons. As you support me with your money, please give me your personal opinion on this:
I get asked where people can find sessions created by other users. So far I can only tell them to check out the Discord channel (which has only two files linked, one made by me) or WarpMyMind (which only has my demo file, i think?). So, I was considering to do it the most easy way I can find: Upgrade my wordpress account, install a file upload plugin and create a simple session library there. The...

I'm back!
I had some time off. Not only from client work but I needed it from my private projects as well. I did re-organizing and re-structuring. I took care of stuff that idled on my todo list for weeks or months. And finally I also relaxed, procrastinated and played video games. I also went to the Unite, Unity's conference in Berlin, learned new things and got motivated for many things.

What's new in v0.11:
- Updated InSessionMenu
- Added Work-In-Progress FeelGood session
- Isochronic tones in custom sessions
- GoogleVR support:
- latest SDK
- merged 2D/VR into one
- Daydream controller...

I finally have some time off from client work. I really need some time to relax, recharge and, of course, work on MMM.
What I recently did:
iOS Builds
What a time sink. The combination of iOS, GoogleVR and Resonance Audio (also developed by Google) is no fun. While everything works nice on other platforms, having both Resonance and the GoogleVR SDK on iOS leads to conflicts and problems on iOS. And to make things worse, I am working on that on my M...

What I recently did:
Isochronic tones in custom sessions
Sessions can now use isochronic tones. It's a simple checkbox in SessionMaker. You can combine it with binaural beats if you want, but you can also choose to use only one of those or neither.
Legal texts in app
I need to have legal contact information in the app required by German law. It is now in there and I made sure that whenever I have t...

Well, at least I seem to make it a weekly thing, even if I seem to never get it out on Monday.
What I recently did:
A new mind massage
I created another mind massage, codenamed "FeelGood". It needs some more work, but it already has a profound effect on my mood, making me more uplifted. It also is kind of trippy and it's visual effect might be a bit overboard. Also, a screenshot of that spiral became the background for the new banner image here on ...

More on time this week. :-)
What I recently did:
GoogleVR versions 2D/VR Switching
I made a VR app for a client back in 2016 and one of the features was a on-screen button (in the corner) to switch the cardboard version between VR and non-VR. This is no longer possible as I had to find out. There is no way anymore to have a non-VR overlay in VR mode. So I decided to present the user with a choice in my startup scene (the one with the logo). It took...

What I recently did (not much due to the very late update last week):
GoogleVR versions

As of this morning the Daydream controller works everywhere without problems and no more p...

Good morning everyone and a great start into the new week.
Recently Google updated their daydream controller firmware. The internal and minimal support for Daydream no longer gets _any_ input from that controller. I'm already working on doing a full support for GoogleVR but that isn't in Alpha 10. So, as a quick fix I made Gaze-To-Click enabled again by default for VR version. (If you hate it, you can disable it in the Settings.) With this fix you can at least get beyond the epilepsy war...

Hey everyone! Alpha supporters helped a lot with pinpointing a few bugs in v0.10 and now that they are fixed, it is nice timing to bring you all a new version.
What's new in v0.10.1:
- Handling of long / big audio files improved, should no longer be able to crash MMM or SessionMaker
- Fixed strobe effect in VR in custom sessions
- minor tweaks and fixes
What's new in v0.10:
- Splash screen
- Loading screens
- Improved 3D sound (...
