It seems my drafts are becoming more and more elaborate, but I think I've figured out a better way of doing them for next time. Marvelous, you've arrived! And just on time. Now, let me take you into the engine room.

If you paid close attention in the scene above, you might've noticed that what should be a shadowy outline actually extends beyond the thin white clothy layer, and also shows on the woody bits. That's because I could not find any screen like that which was in any way transparent.

4k Extra images #8 Bedtime caress

Episode 4 Release

It's time! I thought I'd release it much earlier today, but I got sidetracked by making a fancy exit screen. Thought that'd take me like a few hours, but nope, took me all day. It doesn't look like something that should've taken all day, but I'm just that bad at GUI stuff.

This week I've finished scene 10, and then, for a change of pace, did some play-testing to make sure that the scenes I've added to the game actually works. Which, of course they did not, so I did a bit of fixing, and redid a few animations that looked fine in VLC but not so much in game.

Update #34 Spittin' hot fire

This is where I would write the entire update in a rhyming scheme but... uh, yeah, I'm not gonna. I'm pretty sure I would manage to cringe myself out of existence, and that's an accomplishment, believe me.

Update #33 Crossing bridges

You can't really tell from the picture, but they're totally about to cross a bridge, so the title fits. Pinky promise. 

Scene 8 has indeed been finished (it's the bridge scene), even if it took a little longer than I wanted it to. Progress is good on scene 9 as well, mostly need to finish the animations... Update #32 Making camp

Hi, hello, and welcome to this week's update.

Our brave adventurers have successfully set up camp in the middle of the dungeon and are due some well earned rest. I did indeed finish the scene I was going to finish on Sunday, then I've spent most of the week on this scene and reacquainting myself with animation stuff. I figured since I'm already rendering stuff in the dungeon, why not take advantage of that? The shadows turned out a little odd here and there. Overall I think the idea was better than the execution. Update #31 We in the dungeon now

Hello!

This week I've started rendering stuff in the dungeon. There's a big map I've been using for it which looks great. The issue is that it has so many lights already added to it that I've been crashing when trying to render images from the wrong angle.

If you look at the picture above, I've actually not added a single light myself, it's all there already, and the entire map is like that. Maybe better occlusion planes could've helped, which I wonder if there are any at all, but...

Update #28 Done drafting

Hey there!

I've finished the second draft just today, and I'm a lot happier with it compared to the first one. So now it's off to actually making all of the renders. This means next week we'll start having new renders in the updates again, for now, here's one from last episode.

I chose this one since I got a suggestion to add all the phone pictures into a gallery of its own. So I figured I'll make that happen for the next episode, since it should be pretty easy to implement anyway...
