Baby Fever (doodles)

So, I have a coworker who is having a baby shower on Sunday, and over my weekend I went and picked out some little baby gifts for her-- which is more fun than picking out clothes for myself tbh lol. I was inspired by all the cute things, and decided it had been a while since I've drawn any babies/baby fever. 

Fletch would be totally clueless when it comes to picking out "cute" things for babies. He's be clueless about sizes... brands... medicines to have on hand... really anything ...

Lose the mullet!

Another round of doodles, and this time I feel pretty good about the designs! Idk if you could consider this a mullet haircut or not, but if it is it's significantly more subtle. And, I tried giving him a streak of color in his hair again, but for whatever reason it made him a LOT more girly. And since his design is already on the feminine side (long hair, more slender/lithe) I don't think I wanna add more to that. We're striking a balance here, somewhere...

This is an ongoing investigation to find the right match, and I really hope y'all don't mind. 

I thought it might help to draw the two character's together and see how the vibes felt... this actually works for me in terms of like... masculine energy? Idk how to explain it, but trying to make the characters drastically different as far as their masculinity goes just wasn't working. And I think that stems from the believability...

Playing around with designs some more. Bottom left (purple jacket) is really the only one out of this bunch I like. But I feel like i'm still trying to get the perfect candidate.

It's been a while since I've drawn everyone's favorite straight couple. Dirt (Beau and Sage's son) and Bebe (Fletch and Judas daughter)! I was really on a role with the NSFW last night, and... I probably should have saved this doodle set for another day because I just posted the Beau/Sage doodles for 5$ pledges. Buuuuut..... I'm impatient. I don't like to wait when I have things to give lol.

How come some nights I can draw things super easily and I don't screw up or struggle at all, and others I can't seem to draw even the simplest of things without going through all five stages of grief? lol. If every night was as easy as drawing these four doodles was... I think my life would be a lot easier.

Small Blog Update!

I know I just did a blog update not too long ago, so I don't want to drag on too long here. I just want to touch on a couple things!

Chapter 5 - 3

Last two updates you got the Kinley/Fletch backstory, and the explanation as to why they kissed-- this update you get a little Judas/Jaxsen secret! I've been doing a little soul searching lately in the "inspiration" department. It's still a ways away, but I'm tiptoeing into the phase of "what comes after TLLT?" and want to start using this time to come up with character designs, potential stories and themes. (you may have noticed by my last poll and my random doodles lol)

I think we could all use a little rest and relaxation in our lives right? I think for Fletch and Judas that's largely based on them keeping things lighthearted and happy lol. Any activity-- even something as mundane as shaving-- can be fun and playful with these two. Their chemistry is honestly swoon worthy <3 Lol. They may never be as hot and fiery as Beau and Sage, or as healing as Kinley/Jaxsen, but they are happy couple GOALS. No doubt about it.

This is very random, but my mom dug up some of my old highschool sketchbooks! I posted a lot of the drawings over on my instagram story (@mccull61) but I remember this one in particular because I was soooooo happy with how it turned out at the time.
