This commission for Nomadic Wanderer is canonical and takes place during the current chapter of the comic. Morgan has been daydreaming about being in a Warren and Douglas sandwich for some time, but has yet to express as much to either of them. It might be a tough sell to Douglas in some respects, as he was one of her victims during her short but terrifying stint as The Cock Biter. I'm sure she could get him to give her another chance with some effort though. XD

A year ago when I decided to scale back on the huge money shots, I thought I was tired of doing them. As I've slowly brought them back over time, I've come to realize it wasn't the massive ejaculations that I had a problem with. It was having to keep the resulting mess consistent during the pages that followed. At times having to make a separate body map cheat sheet just to have easy reference for what globs were dripping where on the woman's body. THAT got real tedious. My compromise is to keep my mega blasts but to tone down just how much is going to stick to them if the scene is going to go on for awhile.
As for this page it's actually a throwback to waaaay back on page 91, when Lydia was having sex with Jeff in the locker room. That scene was Halver's first real introduction and I thought it fitting that their first sex position would call back to it. Hope you guys like how it turned out!

Am I ok? That should be ok. Anyhow this scene is canonical and features Sylvia indulging Casey's wedding dress fetish. It's sort of a secret kink, in that Casey doesn't admit it to just anyone. So who are the guys? This led me to an idea that I think could be fun: let's say that when Sylvia hires a new employee, she makes them sign a series of comically specific NDA's that legally bar them from discussing any of the weird sex stuff they might be exposed to while under her employ. Now I'm imagining that half her staff doesn't even know how to type, and is just there on standby to be sex goon fodder whenever Sylvia wants to put on tall platform shoes and spank a motherfucker. XD

Ann wins this month's Discord poll! The vote this time was to see which more obscure TRW character should get some more focus with a pin up. Like many of the more mature characters, I'm hoping to focus on Ann more once the main cast graduates in the story.
Though to be honest I wouldn't want to give her too much focus anyway. Part of the fun of side characters is that since readers don't spend as much time with them you can get away with making their personalities more extreme in a way that might get tiresome if they were a main character. Case in point, Ann was not written with likability in mind. She's a lazy gold digger who is often willfully bad at her job. And the minute she realized how easy it was to get away with cheating on her husband she started doing it all the time. To me that's a fun character to add spice but would you really want to spend a whole chapter with her? XD
But hey, maybe you would. Let me know if that's the case, hope you like the pin up!
This commission for DK is fully canonical and takes place around the same time as the visual novel. The premise being that Kayden's frequent visits at Valette Manor made Tenma begin to see him as the one who might finally take Elianna's virginity. Naturally she had to put him to the test to make sure he was up to fulfilling such an important task. By that logic now that Elianna and Derek are dating, Derek better watch the hell out if ever sets foot in this house. XD

I don't think any male has ever successfully resisted a seduction in anything I've ever made, ever. But Halver is going to have more to say in his resistance than the average guy here, I think. As much as he might be enjoying what's happening here, he's not going to let what he perceives as worryingly unusual behavior in someone he cares for go so easily.
As for the page itself I think this might be the most extreme size difference in a couple that I've had in some time now. I don't know why but I found it funny the notion that Lydia would struggle to fit him in her mouth until she finally just gave up and started licking. XD

I'm pleased to announce that my monthly Game Dev updates have been moved to the $1 tier! I made the decision based on how many indie games I've learned about and followed from their social media presence. It just seems like a bad idea from a marketing angle for me to not be sharing my own progress more publicly as well. As with all posts on this tier, they'll post here and then publicly after a week or so.
You might be aware that this was previously a reward for the $15 tier. I wouldn't dream of removing a reward from a tier and not replacing it with something else. Top supporters will now receive a monthly thank you pic instead. To be clear, these won't be anything crazy or canonical to TRW or as detailed as the Monday pin ups I do. My main rule is that it has to be something nice that I can make in 2-3 hours. I've already done one for April and it has gone over well with those who commented.
So what we have here are some samples of my recent work on This Clandestine World and Miss Castlewood that I've yet to share publicly. Let's break down what we're looking at!
-The wooded apartment exterior is a scene from TCW where Roman has to figure out a way to get into the building by getting past Dakota, a sunbather who thinks he's a creeper. I'd have liked for the trees to sway in the breeze but I should have thought of that before I baked those shadows into the grass. There is an animation for the cat to look around though. And Dakota taps her hand to the music she's listening to as well so this scene shouldn't look too static I don't think. Fun fact: this is a real building that used to live in a long time ago.
-The Tyler GIF is one of what will hopefully be many animated sex scenes in the game. But they're the most time consuming and expensive asset to make by far. I can do little animations myself, but when a bunch of moving parts and bouncing breasts need to loop seamlessly I'm still currently out of my depth. Usually my only overhead is time, but I had to hire outside help on this one.
-The interior coffee shop is the Milky Cafe from TCW. It's where Roman can talk to Tyler and his landlord, Jiles. This background is a 3D model that I bought the licensing rights to from the Daz store. It's possible that I could have gotten away with not doing so since I'm changing a lot of the original image when I paint over it, but I want to do things on the level here. I'm going to try and hide merch stickers from our shop in these backgrounds when plausible to do so. Can you find the one here?
-The woman stretching her back is Detective Jessica Brant. She's tired and overworked. So I thought it fitting to give her bad back for an idle stance animation. If a woman in this game so much as sighs heavily you'd better believe her breasts are going to bounce from it.
-Moving on to Miss Castlewood, we finally have a stage! Little by little we're building towards the story having a proper opening ceremony. I do like the idea of the girls themselves ambushing you with plot details, but I think the Morgan update will be the last one to do it that way if all goes according to plan.
-And lastly we have little toon versions of the cast so far. Kal wanted the girls to have clickable buttons to talk to them on the map. And since the base models are already full body shots I thought it would be fun to try a different style for these. I'm liking them so far.
And that's all for now! Most Game Dev updates won't have as much to share as I do here. Sometimes I only manage one background or animation per month. But they might be big like this for awhile so I can get you all up to speed with everything I've been working on for the last year or so.

In all my time spent drawing these kinds of comics, this marks the first instance of a guy literally busting out of his pants. Feels like a milestone. XD
I'm trying to strike a difficult balance with Halver. (Difficult for me, anyway.) On one hand, I'm having a lot of fun with his fish out of water worldview. But I can't go too far with it because he's also been shown to be a sharp, considerate, and empathetic counselor to Lydia. So despite him bumbling at other elements of human existence, I don't think I could get away with him being oblivious here. It makes sense to me that if Lydia started acting differently towards him, he would pick up on it immediately.

This one is fully canonical and takes place during the current scene of the comic while Halver and Lydia are at the motel. As mentioned, Switch had gone to visit the one who had been her next host after Casey (and just before Isaac), Fiona.
I got the idea for this one because out of all of Switch's former hosts, Fiona is the only one she would have sex with as of this point in the story. Casey is too possessive, Isaac is in a relationship, and Vincent is in the doghouse. Fiona having such little development thus far leaves her as a nice convenient blank slate with no narrative reason not to get it on.
Not that I don't have any interest in developing Fiona more. I have made an asset for her to appear in This Clandestine World as an interactive character. (Though it will need to be reworked. I changed her a bit here and I like her hair better now.) In the meantime I hope you guys like this glimpse of her in action along along with Switch's freaky tongue.

Don't worry, I have every intention of showing exactly what happened on the next page. In a rare moment of prudent behavior, I actually sketched out the next page and planned it alongside this one. I found that Halver narrating a flashback would make for snappier pacing than having what happens play out in real time would have. And in the meantime as always, I hope you are sufficiently cliff-hung.
Still trying to deliver on the feels from last week's page with the kiss here. Early drafts of this page had Lydia looking more smug, which I quickly realized was a mistake. She doesn't fall in love every day. If there was ever a time where she should look vulnerable, it's now.

And we're back with more TRW!
One thing I learned while making this page is that it's very difficult to create a visual representation of a character's inner thoughts without ripping off the movie Inside Out.
Basically I wanted to do an x-ray shot of the moment Lydia fell in love, conceptually not unlike the x-ray shot I did of the moment Bria got pregnant. (I wrote that as a joke but I'll be damned if it isn't exactly what I'm trying to say.) I kicked around some other ideas. One was to have Lydia's little inner self flattened by the word "LOVE" in comical fashion. But I'm not making a political cartoon here so I decided labels should be avoided if possible.
In the end, a talking heart felt very on-brand for TRW. Thanks for waiting while I was on vacation, everyone! I'm fully back at it now and looking forward to making the pages that come next.

Last month I finally got around to playing an rpg called Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. In short, I adored it. But it's not an easy recommend unless you, like me, have fuzzy warm nostalgia for the series that Eiyuden is a spiritual successor to: Suikoden.
I say "spiritual successor" but even that might be too generous. This game IS Suikoden wearing a hat and glasses. Also the hat fell off. Anyhow one area where this game really shines is the character design. There are 120 recruitable characters and somehow every damn one of them feels distinct and memorable. Especially the female ones, which leads us to today.
With so many waifus to draw from you might be surprised that the buff minotaur was my favorite, but she was. I just really dug her look. When she's introduced she's mistaken for a typically brutish minotaur but all se wants do is chill and play cards. Have a good Monday, everyone. It's good to be back!

Hey gang the short version is that I need next week off to move from Florida to Washington.
If you know me, you know I take vacation weeks grudgingly. I enjoy making the comic and don't enjoy the risk of engagement loss that comes with TRW having to skip a week. But I've also learned to read the writing on the wall when external forces are going to hinder my work schedule, so I'd like to get ahead of it for once and just take my summer vacation week early.
As ever, I'm not looking forward to the trip itself. After all the flying I've done one would think I'd be an old pro at it by now but no, every trip has presented a fresh hell thus far. (I wonder who will spill what on me THIS time?) I'm looking very forward to not having to fly again for awhile after this. I just want to be where I'm at for awhile if I can.
The pic here was inspired by how much I'm dreading the packing process to come. I'm not exactly traveling light this time. You never really think about how heavy something is until it's time to pack or ship it, do you. I think about a suitcase holding my PS5 or my PC tower or my computer monitor and I just picture Jane sitting behind that check in counter, rubbing her hands together.
But I do have a very big commission I've been working on that I should be able to post before I go, so you'll still hear from me next week. I thank you in advance for your patience, and TRW will be back before you know it!

An early draft of this page started with Lydia already scooped up in Halver's arms and them exclaiming how great it was to be together in person. But I didn't get very far in that version because I couldn't shake the nagging feeling that I had rushed an important moment.
I was proud of how the page where Switch and Casey reunited turned out. And I think a big part of that was because I didn't just jump to the hug. I instead put emphasis on them seeing each other for the first time. And I think that's an important piece of the presentation here.
I do my best to keep TRW pages punchy, content-wise. But I also try to think in terms of somebody who might read the whole thing all in one sitting someday. Having slower moments like this will pay off in the long term. That's the aim, anyway.

One thing that I think has been pretty consistent about Casey is that sex is what she's thinking about 90% of the time. In the Miss Castlewood build, she pretty much says that sex IS her hobby. So it may come across like she's giving up too easily here, especially given how tenacious I've shown her to be in the past when she sets her sights on someone. But I thought this would be a rare chance to showcase that some things are more important to her than boning. What she values most about Switch is their relationship.
Meanwhile the pressure's on for me to make Lydia as hot as possible on the next page. In a town packed with smoking hot women I imagine it takes a lot to make everyone and their dog turn their heads. But that's next week's problem! XD

I thought I'd keep the TCW train rolling with another character showcase this week! Unlike Tyler, Promise Woman was featured in the original proof of concept demo we released for the game last year. So some of you might already have an idea of what she's about. That said, the script has gone through several rewrites since that demo. So like Tyler, Promise Woman is still in development and I'm open to feedback to shape her character.
As the demo portrayed, I originally wrote her as a super-hero themed sex worker. I do like that idea, and would hate to lose the PW signal that Roman would shine into the night sky to summon her when he was horny and had extra cash. But now I'm leaning more towards her being a bit more serious about the superhero career.
I'm not going to give her powers or anything, it's not that kind of story. But I like the idea of her being being like a local do-gooder, helping her community while in character as Promise Woman. A less busting heads and more volunteer work kind of super hero. I was leaning this way because while I personally think a superhero prostitute is rad, I couldn't think of anywhere to go with her from there. She needs more to do.
Costume-wise she's meant to be an amalgamation of all the sexiest superhero costumes I could think of. So I swiped elements from Super Girl, Psylocke, and Power Girl. She was voiced by Oolay Tiger in the demo and I would like to get her back in the future if we can. Originally I had Promise Woman written as a milf, but I've recently decided that she will come off as pretty damn irresponsible if I add "and she leaves her kids at home when she does this" to any of the ideas I currently have for her. XD

EDIT: In the cold light of day I noticed Casey's left arm was reaching way too far in panel two, and that Isaac was looking a little too slim at the shoulders. Made some tweaks!
Four hundred pages of This Romantic World! And of course I only missed the huge lesbian money shot by one page and am left with a transitional talking head sequence for such a milestone!
Putting aside my shame, I am still happy with this page. Casey teleporting into a headlock when Isaac tries to sneak past her is an idea that's been in my head for ages now. Same goes for Casey being forced to put on Chloe's clothes. As annoyed as Casey might be in those clothes, she's got nothing on how pissed Chloe would be to catch her wearing them. I draw Casey and Chloe with more or less the same bust size these days, but I think the way that zipper is hanging on a prayer implies that Casey is still slightly bigger. XD

Now that the groundwork has been laid a bit on Miss Castlewood, I've resumed some work on our point and click adventure project, This Clandestine World. After numerous rewrites over the last year, I think the script is finally headed where I want it to go and I'm excited to start making assets for it again.
That said, many of the new characters I have in mind haven't been hammered out completely as far as their personalities go. So I thought maybe I should showcase them a bit here, and possibly get some input on how to make them more appealing. First up is the coffee girl, Tyler Girard!
Tyler is one of two characters in TCW so far that have a direct connection to a TRW character, in that she's Warren's cousin. (Fun fact her design was one I was initially going to use for Warren's mother.) I picture her as being exceedingly energetic and bubbly, maybe obnoxiously so at times. Like she's a barista that's sampling too much of her own product. I thought maybe that could just be what's on the surface though, that maybe she has a devious side and the bubbly part is just an act. Kind of like if I smashed Jane and Parker's personalities together, I suppose. Or like how Abbey was until the true goth self emerged.
But then part of me thinks she might be more appealing if there's no act and she really IS just obnoxiously positive and loud about it all the time. I haven't got to her in the script yet so it's still pretty up in the air. If you have any feedback to share, I'd love to hear it!

This commission for Phil Token features Miles and Sylvia having another dress up date night! I always like drawing these two together and it's been fun to be taking on some bigger jobs lately. I've done enough of these for Phil that at this point that Sylvia has come to canonically have a secret fetish for tall shoes based entirely on these commissions. One of the many things I appreciate about being hired to draw TRW characters is that it can bring forth new ideas like that organically. Hope you guys like this one!

One thing I'm glad I could finally work into the main comic is just how much Raina likes Casey. Not in a romantic way so much in a way that she's just rooting for her in general. One thing I've always tried to keep consistent with Raina is that she has a strong maternal instinct. I figure it would be a given that she'd latch onto her girlfriend's daughter quickly in that regard. I imagine Raina "gets" Casey more than she might let on. Whether or not I can convey that in my writing as I go with these two remains to be seen.
As for now, I'm happy with this scene so far. Hope you guys are looking forward to next week, they're about to make a mess of that kitchen! XD

Despite her position as Sylvia's assistant I think I've made it clear enough previously that Raina is the "top" in her relationship with Sylvia. But I want there to still be some balance there. Raina's weakness is that the time spent in a loveless marriage has left her perpetually horny and very susceptible to seduction. I figure both Casey and Sylvia capitalize on this whenever possible either because they want something from Raina or because they're just horny too.

Abbey joins the contest in our second update! She's got a sex scene, ending and new location to discover. New to this update is a gallery mode, though we're still in the early stages of getting it to work consistently so the male skin color might be random at times in the viewer. Expect this feature to evolve with each update.
Speaking of evolution, Kal and I have also been talking about the scope of the project overall. Initially Miss CastleWood wasn't intended to be a "sequel" to the first VN. I thought of it as more of a straight up old fashioned dating sim than an adventure. But the more we talk about what we want to do, the more adventure-like ideas start top creep into the conversation.
As always, feedback is greatly appreciated. What would you like to see in future updates? What works and what doesn't? In any case I hope you like what we've got so far and thanks for supporting while we figure this out!
