On the costuming front, I found something amazing.

I’m early into the costume build for the big, ridiculous fan dance act. I’m working on a tearaway corset that “melts” off my body, using a technique a friend used a decade back. (She retired some years ago.) I’m staying quiet about it everywhere but here, because I don’t want to tip my hand. Also, it might not actually work the way I want.

Full Reveal - California Sunset

We shot this on the shoot day, but we did it before my amazing cameraman (ahem) remembered to plug in the microphone. I had to add the music in post, so I'm just a bit off the beat. It seems a little sleepy, which matches my hair and makeup.

Vivienne Vermuth came over and did my hair and makeup. Vivienne and I talk about my hair and her work as I eat a cheese danish.

My hair did last wonderfully. I should have her come by each month and fancy me up for shooting.

It doesn't look like much, but it's part of some magic.

I submitted some of the photos from my La Photographie shoot to Java for consideration to publish in Bachelor Pad Magazine's next Nightcap edition. (More details on that later.)

Good news: no tears or fractures!

My left knee has given me some trouble over the past few years. It limits my floor work and forces me to modify activity when the pain flares up.

I visited the doc this morning for an x-ray. No tears or fractures. I just have less space in the joint of one knee than the other. They told me to take glucosamine and get physical therapy. Yay!

I’m really happy there’s nothing major wrong with it. Fingers crossed the prescribed treatment does the trick.

I'm just happy to be here.

I had a dream as a kid-- being covered in Dalmatian puppies. This will do.

I used to have hundreds of Dalmatian collectibles. Many have been offloaded. These are the remainders. If I had a younger relative who was totally into spotted dogs, I might have handed them over instead of getting naked and covering myself in stuffed puppies.

Why am I leaning toward the pop music of my youth?

Yeah. I don't quite know what's happening.

I'm working on this act that's going to take some time. This is the tribute fan dance (the boa fans in mini-marshmallow colors) with the corset that should "melt" off my body.
