192 - Dev Blog


Hello, hello! I completely forgot about the dev blog yesterday because I had a bit of a scare. My father went out with our dog, left him tied to a gate while he went into a store real quick, and when he came back the dog had vanished. Hours of frantic searching followed, but it turns out that he got loose immediately and made his way back to where we live, which was quite near, but decided to go to the adjacent street first to pee on stuff as usual and stare at all the girl dogs. An old lady saw him there, recognized him since she saw me walking with him around there a few times, and because he had his leash on she figured he escaped and got lost. Anyway, she took him into her house and a few hours later scoured the neighborhood looking for me, which she found pretty quickly just as we were about to go to the center of the city to see if he went that way. Anyway! Crisis averted! But I don’t let my father go out with my dog anymore.



First things first, last week we released the version 0.11.3! We’re inching ever closer to the end of the story. We once again had a problem with delays, we once again apologize for that. We are taking steps to fix all the issues that have been causing these delays and we hope to be able to return to a normal schedule for the next update already.



Now talking a bit about the future, jump ahead if you don’t like spoilers. For the next release, we’re going to continue to focus on Catherine’s efforts to strengthen her legion as she continues to move towards the ruins of Valante. We’re also going to be adding another romance route into the game, the lucky companion this time is Victor! He sacrificed quite a lot for Catherine already, seems only fair that he’d get a shot at some action from her in the end. Like always, you will have the option of romancing him, or keep it a friends-with-benefits relationship, or even skip his content entirely.

Due to the longer development cycle, we did manage to fit quite a bit of content in there, so we really hope you enjoy this one, especially if you're into strong purple tieflings who could probably crush your head with their thighs.

We've added a new romance route with Briwala, as well as several new events including little romance scenes for other routes, as well as main story progression as we slowly inch closer and closer to the conclusion of the story!

191 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! I abandoned D&D 5e for Pathfinder 2e. Had my first session of Pathfinder last Sunday and I realized that I had been living on copium for years. If you play 5e and are feeling bored of always seeing the same characters with just a different coat of paint, give Pathfinder a go. I think you’ll have a beautiful surprise!



First things first, sorry for the long delay between releases. We’ve been trying a lighter approach so we won’t burn out working on the game anymore, and it did fix the burnout but we still have some growing pains to overcome. The build is 99% ready right now, but we want to release it on Friday rather than the early-in-the-week releases we’ve been doing lately. We’re going to use this extra time, of course, to add even more to an already beefy release and to test the release a lot to catch the bugs before it goes out. Sorry again, for taking so long between the releases, but rest assured that this is not the new normal. We’re actively working to make sure this doesn’t happen again.




Banshee added even more stuff to Briwala's scene, if you can believe it! Instead of watching the sprites interact in the foreplay/blowjob scene, you'll get a fancy close-up illustration! She also did some more sprite variants and messed a bit more with the main scene, since she got a bit more time with it. Purple tiefling lovers are in for a treat! 




Vane finished the crowning scene with Catherine and began finishing up the romantic interlude for after the Battle of the River. We’ll not delay the build again if this is not fully ready for Friday, but then again, it'll most likely be ready by then because there are only two characters left to write and then it just needs to be edited.

190 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! Today my cat suddenly became very afraid of the washing machine, which is unfortunate because her food bowl is right beside it! Now she only eats there if one of us is standing guard to make sure she won't be eaten by the evil sock black hole. It's pretty cute.

Banshee had some health issues that delayed her tiddy production line a little bit, but she's basically done with the new scene! She also worked on new sprites for Briwala to go along, and a new crown sprite for Catherine, for our... Burger King collab. Yes, that's totally what that's for, no spoilers here! Vane did find the new crown too shiny tho, so she might have to come up with some different variants this week.

Vane worked on finishing Briwala's romance scene, editing all the texts and then adding everything to the build. Since the build was delayed a bit and he got some extra time, he used it to expand a few of the scenes a bit more!

Hello, hello! I thought the rainy season was over, but it is anything but over! Now we get the illusion of sun, just to get bamboozled by rain. It's like we have all seasons in one day! But it's ok, at least we can get a bit of vitamin D now.


Banshee
continued to work on the scene with Briwala. She also took some time to study and try out some new lighting techniques, so hopefully you'll find this next scene extra good-looking!


Vane
began working on a new scene where Catherine is rewarded by her troops for her heroic leadership! He is also working on the romance scene with Briwala, so go put a ring on your favorite purple cock!

Bugfix Update!

188 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! The rains have finally ended! The sun has returned to the mythical land of Brasil and my spirit has been lifted!



Banshee continued to work on the new scene with Briwala, and is excited to shade all those sexy purple muscles and cute freckles!  



Vane was still a little down last week. No matter how much he sat down to write the inspiration would just not come to him. He persisted in doing code maintenance, as that was just about the only thing he could do. We’ll be getting a build with a bunch of fixes and optimizations tomorrow! Ah yes, and Vane is also feeling a lot better since the sun returned, it energized him and he’s working hard to make up for the lost time!

187 - Dev Blog

Dear diary… It is the 100th day since the rains started. God is really putting the rain in rainforest. The sun has not shone in for ages now, and I am starting to lose hope. I have lost my tan, I have lost my weekend at the beach, I have even been forced to, shudders, put on a t-shirt. I don’t know how much longer I can keep going. T-tell my hamster… That I love him…




Banshee had to take the week off to move! Now she has her own place to haunt and draw the lewdest smut her little ghostly mind can think of, without worrying that her parents will see just how fast she can draw dicks.  She has also started working on a new scene with Briwala, but that's now quite done yet! 



Vane is feeling a tad depressed. The lack of sun has depleted his vitamin D levels, and not even futa D seems to get him going anymore. That said, he worked a bit on code maintenance last week and also did a lot of tests to try and figure out a few bugs that have been reported by people. He has thus far been unable to reproduce them, but since they all seem to have something in common with problems in the save files he is planning a thorough overhaul of the save functions. In order to keep the history system in the save files, each save file actually contains 101 game states. One for each of the previous 100 steps and the current step. Vane is starting to think that, since the game has grown so much, some computers might be having trouble when processing these large amounts of information. The easy solution would be to just not save the history on the save files, but we believe that being able to go back a little bit to remember what was going on in the story is an important feature, so I’m sure Vane will figure something out that has the best of all worlds.

Hello, hello! I bless the raaaains down in Braaaazil! Wait… What do you mean flooding? Oh… I see… Do you, uh… Have a boat per chance? No? Ok…



So, we finally released the most delayed build ever. We’re very sorry for delaying it for so long, we added way too much stuff and there was some miscommunication between Banshee and Vane which made it take longer for us to finish the release. On the plus side, the release is filled with goodies. A big battle, tons of ACGs, a sex scene with Marius with two variants, and the beginning of his romance route! That’s right, everyone’s favorite brooding noble has been added to the list of romanceable companions! Only a handful left to go.




Now where does the story go from here? Catherine reached the land of Valante and just won her first major battle, shattering the enemy army in the process. Well, now she has to take what remains of Valante and take down the barrier that prevents communication and teleportation into the region. But you can be assured that the Adversary’s forces will do their utmost to prevent all of that from happening. We’ve truly reached the endgame now, and the next releases will contain the climactic ending to Catherine’s epic adventure, so stay tuned!

Phew, it's finally done! After a couple of delays due to Vane working on one thing while Banshee worked on another, as well as regional flooding, the second early access build of Chapter 12 is here, in all its chunky glory!

And know we're not using the word chunky lightly here, with the extra development time we really managed to pack a lot of content in this one! This new build adds the defensive branches of the Battle of the River (which turned out even bigger than the offensive ones, if I recall correctly!), as well as the beginning of the romance route of our local edgy boy, Marius!

Hello, hello! Boy oh, boy! Now we’ve done it!



Banshee initially focused her work on the romance/smut side of the build, and is now catching up on illustrations for the several battle scenes Vane wrote! 



Vane got everything he worked on in the past few weeks into the build and ensured everything worked properly. Unfortunately, due to communication issues and poor allocation of tasks between him and Banshee, we were not able to ship the game. On the upside, we did get a lot of content done and Vane started working on what Banshee worked on and vice versa, so we will have a very chunky release full of goodies! And we pinky promise the release won’t get past this week!



Finally, we'd like to thank all of you for your generosity and patience toward this ol' duo of devs! Despite our goofs and fuck ups here and there, we are as determined as ever to deliver the very best we can to you all, so please never think we take your support for granted. Hello, hello! Just got myself a set of heavyweights, so I can finally start working out at home! No more getting stuck in a room with poor ventilation with 12 other guys all sweating buckets for me, no sir!



Banshee finished working on Marius' scene! She then started to happily work on some cool outfits that Vane requested, including a bunny suit for Jeanne and some body variants for Catherine! 




Vane’s attention has been all over the place. He had a lot of ideas last week, but they were not necessarily in the areas he needed to work on for the release. Still, he put those ideas to paper because, as Banshee always reminds him, future work is still work. He also worked on the interlude scene for after the Battle of the River. There is plenty of sexiness over there and lots of face-sitting!

183 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! No intro today! Only henlo! Let's get this show on the road!

First things first, let's talk about the whole Unity debacle. From what I understand, we're only going to be charged by download once we make $200,000 in revenue. I think that's a very unrealistic amount of money for us to ever make, and if we do hit it, I'll be way too happy to care. Thanks to all you wondeful folks here on Patreon, Rise of the White Flower has actually been paying for itself for a good while now. So any money we make from sales will be straight-up profit, which we want to use in order to finally expand our team and increase the quality of our next game.

I do think they are actually going to walk this change back after getting so much backlash and bad publicity, but at the same time, this is just another in a long list of bad decisions from Unity. I am very alarmed that the CEO sold his shares before this news became public, and has been selling his shares for a while. That hardly fills me with confidence for the future, so I find it difficult to justify committing myself to another big project while knowing that Unity might pull the rug from under us at any point. Becase of that, I have already started learning Unreal engine, honestly overdue at this point. I'd rather spend my energy learning a powerful engine that I can use to make anything and everything, though making a VN in Unreal does seem like using a rocket launcher to kill a cockroach, but we do want to add more features than just the VN, so I don't think its that crazy.

Anyway, TLDR: We finish Rise with Unity. Make next game with Unreal.

Banshee continued to work on the first romance scene with Marius! She's almost done with it, she just needs to shade some hairs and figure out how to do the fancy fireplace lighting she's picturing in her head!

Vane is a bit late with his work. He had been working on editing the defensive part of the Battle of the River, but got caught on by the whole Unity thing. He then proceeded to download both Unreal and Godot in order to figure out where we were going next. He choose Unreal and might have lost track of time as he explored his brand new toy. Plenty of fun stuff that we can use for the next game, and Vane can't wait to start working on it. Meanwhile he's going to continue studying in his spare time.

He did lose almost an entire week though, so this Friday release might get a bit delayed. (MY APOLOGIZIES! IT WAS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL! LIKE SEEING A PAIR OF BIG TIDDIES FOR THE FIRST TIME!)

Hello, hello! Watching The Expanse forced me to play Surviving Mars once more. Boy, was that a mistake! I really, really need to stay clear of strategy games. They make me lose track of time so easily.



Banshee is finally back to drawing smut! Hooray! Her first task is to work on a romantic scene for the start of Marius' route. Let us pray that she still remembers how to shade tiddies after all this time!




Vane continued working on the defensive part of the Battle of the River. He thought he could reutilize some stuff from the attacking part, but no dice. 90% of it had to be written from scratch. Still, he’s done with it and has already started working on editing the scene. After that, he’s going to move on to writing the sex!

Hello, hello! I am very agitated today. I was watching the expanse yesterday, and they nuked Brazil! Back in the Starship Troopers days, they threw a meteor at Argentina. Like… What is it with American sci-fi and the throwing of shit at South America? We didn’t even do anything!



Hey, ya’ll! It took us a while, but we finally got another release out! Keeping in line with our current experimental phase, we’ve done something a bit different this time around. This release has one of the branches of the Battle of the River, Catherine’s legion's first major battle. It has a ton of variants based on previous choices made, so it might take a few playthroughs for you to see all the ways the action can unfold. You also have the choice of doing the attacking or the defending, although the defending part will come in the next update.


Now. We decided that we wanted to do this battle right, so instead of doing it half-assed and finding a way to shove a sex scene in there just for the quota, we decided to focus entirely on the battle. And this is a philosophy we intend to adopt going forward. We’re getting close to the end of Catherine’s story, and we want to make these final events memorable. After that, we have all the time in the world to go back and add a few more sex scenes here and there. That does not mean that there won’t be sex scenes anymore until the game is done, just that we won’t be sacrificing quality to shove at least one into every update. We hope you understand why we have made that decision!

My oh my, it's been a while, isn't it? Well, it's certainly good to be back to releasing builds to you all!

This release adds the first of two branches of the Battle of the River, Catherine’s legion's first major battle, including several variants depending on the choices you've made along the road. Now, with this being a major event in the story, and us wanting to make a proper battle, there wasn't enough spare time to add smut to this release. Hell, we couldn't even add the defensive branch of the battle yet! We hope you forgive this lack of tiddies this time around, and hope you'll enjoy this build nonetheless!

180 - Dev Blog


Hello, hello! I’ve been thinking about old civilizations a lot lately. Potential pre-history civilizations that might have existed but whose artifacts might have turned to dust by now. It’s a topic that fascinates me and fills me with inspiration. When I was a kid Conan was fucking huge, or maybe it wasn’t, but one of my cousins was a big fan. Though I remember that the sword and sorcery genre was really big back then, a shame it has kind of died out. I’ve been thinking about writing a short story set in an old, barely recognizable earth. Marry my love of pre-history with my love for fantasy and the sword and sorcery genre to create a quite particular brand of smut. A hot female barbarian, wearing too little clothing, battles monsters and rescues ladies wearing an equally comically small amount of clothing. Sounds like fun.



ANYWAY! Onto the dev blog!


Banshee continued to work on the battle scene illustrations! Not really the kind of action scenes she's used to working on, but she's having fun! (Although hopefully, she'll get back to drawing lewds next week.)



Vane is mostly done with the battle scenes he has been writing. As it often goes, Vane got a little too excited writing fight scenes, and they extended a bit too much. He might have also geeked out and gone into way too much detail on his military tactics analysis applied to a fantasy world. So he’s hard at work editing everything to make it… Palatable. He also needs to write the scene's ending, but he figured editing everything before writing the end might be a better call.

Hello, hello! Be me. It’s the middle of the night. Decided I needed a cup of coffee. Go to the kitchen to make it. Out of milk.



Banshee worked on slapping some pretty images on Vane's endless battle scenes! She also missed drawing some naked ladies, so she worked some more on our future collab with Kalyskah!  




Vane continued working on the battle against the Drazghrit. He finished the initial four variants of the fight and moved on to the second phase of it. This phase will also have two variants based on previous choices made, and will involve a terrible battle against a powerful spellcaster. Catherine certainly will need help with this one. Good thing she has plenty!

178 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! Funny intro text? How can I make a funny intro text if all I am is Baldur’s Gate? Head would be empty if it were not filled with mind-flayer tadpoles.



Banshee very soon realized that finishing all she wanted to get done for this week was... pretty much impossible. She panicked and cried a little, but then got happy again cause she got to draw cute boys and cute floating bunny girl sprites! As you can see, we have a preview of the third character: Andrei, the tentacle... necromancer... goth boy? 



On the not-so-fun part, Banshee started working on the very long list of skill icons (damn you, Vane!!) and she hopes she finishes them all before she dies of old age. Sadly, the period she scheduled to work on this project is up, so she'll go back to Rise for now as promised, but plans to continue working on her remaining tasks in her free time until all the assets for the demo are done! 


Vane began working on the battle against the Drazghrits. Outmaneuvered by Catherine’s daring maneuver, their army finds itself out of position. Catherine holds all the cards, and they look very vulnerable, but could this be another ambush? Choose between pressing the advantage or forcing them to come to you and fighting a defensive battle. The battle will also play off in four different ways, one for each type of legion. The choices you made in the past will shape how the legion actually fights!

Hello, hello! BG3 huh? What a game! I don’t know about y’all, but I am losing a lot of sleep playing that.


Banshee continued to work on sprites and character designs! She finished Ecaterina's two costumes this time and started working on Cassandra's battle sprites. She also started working on the last two characters: Andrei and Zarron! There's still a lot to be done by next week, but Banshee is going to give her all to do as much as she can! 


(I swear there's a plot reason for the tactical bikini... not that yall would need one, I think. Hehehe.)


Vane finished pretty much everything he wanted to add to the prototype of the Bunniest Dungeon. At this point, he’s just waiting for the art to make it presentable and give a better idea of what we’re going for. In the meantime, he is going back to Rise! Vane started working on the battle scene that was hinted at the end of the last chapter. You will have two options on how to fight that battle which will change it quite significantly. Future Vane will probably regret this decision, but present Vane is having fun writing it. He also started drafting a “Free Love” route. Essentially it’s a route for people that don’t want Catherine to tie the knot with anyone and just want to bang everything that moves.

176 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! Baldur's Gate III is almost upon us! I had mixed feelings about this game, but now that I saw that they added Minsc I’m very much looking forward to it. It brings back memories of crawling the dungeons of Baldur’s Gate I and II without knowing a word of English back in the day. Aaaah… Good, good times.



Banshee continued to work on both the background and interfaces for the new game, as well as our second character: Ecaterina! Any similarity to our other main character's name is Vane's fault. Her design is not done yet (as you can see by her lack of clothing in the thumbnail), but you can get a general idea! The background that will be used for the final version of the prototype is complete, very big, and fully prepared for an adventure mode (which we may not even add yet, but hey, it's ready for the future!) 



Vane made a lot of progress on adding all manner of effects into the game. It now has stuns, buffs, debuffs, forced moves, and ripostes! All that’s really left to add is the DoTs. Of course, to allow for animation of every one of these parts Vane had to spend a long time getting the code to be able to wait until certain parts of it were executed before continuing. Doing that while leaving everything generic so that multiple characters, and enemies, can use the same functions with their different animations and effects, is more challenging than it might appear at first glance. But it has been done, and that was the hardest part of the game to code so that it will be smooth sailing from here on out.

175 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! After days and days of rain, cold, and darkness, finally the climate has returned to an amiable sunny 24ºC. Thank god!



Banshee is having the time of her life working on new concepts, figuring out how to animate sprites again, and giving life to her beloved bunny girl: Cassandra! Here's the refined sketch of her sprite, if you want a better look! 



She also wanted to put little gifs of the animations she's been working on here, but she failed to do so without absolutely butchering the image quality, so she hopes these little videos on her drive will be almost as good! Her animating bones are still very rusty but she's excited to learn more and more. Besides that, Banshee started working on a little mockup for the combat part of the game! It's still in its early stages but you can get an idea of where we plan on going with this.



Vane was not able to make as much progress as he wanted last week as he got sick with the flu. He’s not one to get sick too often, but when he does, it’s usually bad. Still, he managed to build the basic structure for the combat system and is now picking up the pace to make up for lost time. You can play the prototype right here!

174 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! Today I saw a video that shows that our solar system is actually quite unique and is in the lower percentiles of probability. Does that mean we’re actually special and not some average planet, orbiting an average sun, on an average solar system? Could that mean that we’re really alone, or at the very least we’re early? Humanity is the Firstborn of our reality perhaps? Naaah! The moon is clearly an alien observation station and we’re a zoo. Wake up sheeple!



Now onto serious matters. As Banshee and I have spoken before, we have been working on Rise for the past three years, and we take some breaks here and there, but truth be told we’re feeling quite burned out by the constant repetition of it all. At the same time, we can’t just stop and take an extended break, this is our job and you’re all our bosses so we owe it to you all to keep going. This is why we arrived at a solution that, while not perfect, we think is a fair compromise. 



We’ll be going to stop working on Rise for a few weeks, and work on a prototype for our next game. We want to keep the narrative experience you’ve come to expect from us, but also add elements of gameplay, chiefly a combat system. So we’ll work on a few concepts, create a working combat system, and then release our work to you all. That keeps us working while we can take a break from Rise, gives us time to properly test our new combat system for the new game, and allows us to get back to Rise at the end of it all ready to travel the last mile! 




Anyway, we hope you won’t be too mad at us for taking this break, we promise that it’ll help us raise the quality of both Rise and our next game as well, so please indulge us this time! And now we would like to thank you all so so much for continuing to stick with us in this long lewd journey called Necro Bunny. Oh, and that reminds me! I'm not sure if y'all will be as hyped as Banshee is for this, but we'll finally have bunny girls on this new project! Woo!!

Chapter 11 is Finally Here!

My oh my, are my eyes deceiving me right now? Is Chapter 11 here at last?

After a chunky delay due to Banshee's ghastly health these past few weeks, we're finally shipping a new chapter in all its lewd glory. For some reason, this development cycle felt faster than the others! Maybe time goes by faster when you're drawing vampire tiddies, cause there are a ton of those in this chapter.


Now, onto the important bits, shall we? This new build adds several scenes with Victor, Seralli, Yda, Jeanne, and two with Evelyn/Mordred/Enoby! We have also added the Sub Catherine route and a new romance route with precious cinnamon roll Seralli. Now you can protect her even more (not that she needs it, but she appreciates it nonetheless!).


As for the plot, Catherine continues her dangerous journey to the kingdom of Valante after the ambush, crossing frozen mountains and dwarven domains, battling ancient dragons, and meeting unusual old allies! We're excited about the development of this one, and hope you all enjoy reading through all the events! <3

172 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! My pc is finally fixed and I knew it was going to be better, but man I had no idea it as going to be this much better. I was blind my whole life, but now I can see!


Banshee enthusiastically worked on the new CG, believing it was one of her best works yet, but she sadly continued to have health issues that once again delayed her schedule. She apologizes for being late, and promises to deliver some high-quality lesbians™ as soon as possible!

Vane!! Spent most of the week as a pcless refugee, which did little to hamper his writing but did a lot to hamper his ability to get stuff into the build. His pc was also a fresh install, so he had to spend a lot of time installing everything again, getting the game backup, and setting all the shits. Other than that, he finished the last scene needed for chapter 11 and worked on editing everything.


Finally, we'd like to thank you all once again for your amazing support, and wish everyone is feeling as happy and healthy as one can be (cause being sick really sucks)! <3

172 - Dev Blog

Hello, hello! Today I come to you wearing the sad Vane skin. My PC is not turning on anymore. I took it to a doctor, and he opened it up tried a few things, and then made that “oof” face. It did not feel reassuring. Here’s hoping it’s nothing major and I can get it back soon.



Banshee got back to drawing them big ol tiddies this week, as she started working on our newest CG! She was making some good progress until her sinuses decided to rebel and absolutely annihilate her for a few days, but she took the appropriate meds and is starting to recover, so there's no need to worry! 

(She also apologizes for the late dev blog! Vane did send it to her yesterday but she was conked out by her meds, and couldn't get the banner done beforehand!).




Vane was working on the snippets of the romance scenes, and the Evelyn one did extend itself far more than it should have had. It came to a point where he was like, “This needs a CG and maybe a new sprite or two”, so we decided to do another Evelyn scene. I know she already got one in this chapter, but since her route involves Jeanne as well, and Vane has his delusions of adding more to the mix and making some crazy shit, we thought it would be ok to double her scene count!



Finally, we would like to thank you all for your continued support. I know that releases have slowed down a bit in the last few months, and we really appreciate you all sticking with us through this. We’re committed to continue honoring the faith you put in us with every dollar you send our way, and delivering the best game we possibly can!

Hello, hello! Boy oh boy, could it be that we forgot last week's dev blog? BANSHEE CRASHES THROUGH THE WINDOW "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE FORGOT? I TOLD YOU TO DO IT AND YOU DIDN'T DO IT!" VANE USES RUN AWAY... IT'S MILDLY EFFECTIVE!


Banshee took her week off after Vane returned to work, thinking that all would be well and in order! He didn't ask for help with the dev blog, so surely everything was under control, right?



Anyway! After a week of driving her mother-in-law around and going on family road trips, Banshee returned to work feeling a bit refreshed! She went back to working on the Kaly collab, and also worked on some kinky assets Vane needed for Evelyn's route! 




Vane, besides not doing the dev blog, finished the mountain crossing scene, which also includes a very brief passage through a Dwarven city! Maybe Banshee will finally relent and we'll have some Dwarf bears with beards for dicks to fuck Catherine? We can only hope. Vane also worked on what is likely to become a staple sort of scene, as Catherine gets back home after a long series of events she gets a little quality time with her significant other. These scenes are not really long but they allow us to offer some insight into Catherine's love life without having to commit weeks to do a big scene with CGs and everything!

Hey hey hey everyone! Vane is still on vacation, so you're stuck with me, Banshee! MWA HA HA! 



I'm not sure we have mentioned this publicly before, but we have been planning a fun (not so) little crossover with a fellow Brazilian dev for a while now. Hopefully, I have done my work properly and some of you have already recognized the character in the banner, but if not, it's Kalyskah




We have admired Kalyskah from afar even before we started working on Rise, so you can imagine how excited we were to start working on this crossover. And it's exactly what I did this week! Translating 3D models into my own style while trying to keep everything as faithful as possible to the original work has been challenging, but very fun, and I honestly can't wait to see the final results of this collab. Aaah!! 



Now, this wouldn't be a proper dev blog without us thanking you all for your amazing support! It is thanks to you that we get incredible opportunities like this, and we are truly grateful for the amazing people we have met throughout this journey. You're the best!

169 - Dev Blog

Heyo! Street Fighter 6 is finally out and boy oh boy, Capcom opened a bakery. Coomer Fighter 6! 




So! We did our latest release yesterday. You can check all that’s new here. The attentive among you will know that this build took more than a month to get ready! Mostly because of Vane rewriting everything three times over. And it would have taken more time too, if not for Vane sleeping a total of five hours in the last 3 days, discounting involuntary power naps. 


It’s no secret that working on this project for so long has us a bit burned out and that the pressure of finishing all this work right is not making it any easier. Vane will be taking the rest of the week to basically recover from the crunch, but also to try and get his energy back up to keep pushing through this final stretch. But we have also been having talks here and there about maybe putting the game on hold for a little bit. We would still be here pushing content, just… Something other than Rise, to take a break from the project so we can come back fresh and ready to tackle it again. Nothing is set in stone tho, and we would love to hear your thoughts on this, so please let us know!



Finally, we would like to thank you all so very much for your continued support! We are so very thankful for all the love and positive feedback that Rise has gotten so far, and we hope you continue to enjoy this, and many more projects still to come!
