Patreon rewards coming to Discord soon

Let me preface this by saying we all know Patreon rewards in Discord are a little underwhelming.  I mean, I support a few other creators on Patreon, so I know this first-hand.

However, as a creator, it's good to show appreciation to those who support us, and as a fan, it's cool to get a little kickback, even if it's a username with a different color. :P

Hey guys, now that Jason's transformation is done, what art would you guys like to see next?  Even something general like more character studies vs more scenes should be helpful.

I just made a discord, and I completely forgot that you can tie Patreon and a Discord together.

I've been meaning to update the video and reward for Patreon anyway, so maybe after Nora 3 is launched, I can incorporate Discord stuff into the rewards.

BC Blog 4/22

BC Blog 4/7

I have two things to share with ya'all today.  First, I had written the next portion of Chapter 15...but I scrapped it.

I realized that I was writing from Nora's perspective in book 2, not in book 3 when she has a few more years of maturity and comfort in her own skin.  I'm a really slow writer, so this is super frustrating. :/  Hopefully, I'll have the rewrite done tomorrow/tonight.

BC Blog 3/26

Unfortunately, every day can't be an author day.  Today I had to run errands.  Then when I got home, I worked on my car, did yardwork, mowed the lawn, and fixed a toilet.  It is now 3:37 and after I shower, eat, etc, I can finally get to work again.

Sigh.

This is just something kind of fun, a little extra.  I should have another chapter or maybe even 2 posted of Nora today, but I just did something in less than half an hour for my niece and I thought I'd share.

My niece is an aspiring artist and drew a picture she wanted to share with me.  I thought it was so neat, I just wrote a quick short story about Glons the bat monster.  The story is meant for kids 6-10.

BC Blog 3/4

Starting immediately, I am going to begin work on First Song again.  Nora chapters will still get written, and maybe even at the same speed as before.  

However, I need to take a day or two away from writing first.  If I don't take care of taxes and other admin stuff while I'm thinking about it, all that stuff will sneak up and bite me in the butt.  (It did last year)  I'm also getting a new dryer and I need to make sure I'm here for the delivery.  It's ha...

I have sort of okay news, and great news!

The okay news that you all probably don't care about all that much is that I had some family visiting this week and wasn't able to get a lot of writing done.  The good news is that the weather has been getting warmer among other things, and I think I'm over my writing slump!

I've been hammering out words and the excitement for everything I do is back!  This is great news, for me if nobody else...cuz' I gotta worry about bills, ...

BC Blog 2/10/2019

Well...shit.

I'd been hoping to get 3 chapters done between the last blog and this one.  I even held out on writing this one in the hopes I could meet that goal.  Alas, it is not meant to be.

My plan was to do 3 chapters between blogs, then 4, then 5, and probably hover about there.  This is still the plan.  I just suck.


Anyway, here we are.  Hopefully the next Nora chapter will go out in the next few hours, but we will see.

 Happy Feb!  I have a few things to talk to you guys about.  

First off, I'm almost done with another chapter of Nora.  It's been slow because of the next thing I'm going to talk to you about.  

I've been feeling burnt out, and Melli suggested we go on vacation to see family.  I've also never been to any Disney parks...  So we went to Florida for a week!

Hey all!

I don't have a ton to tell you about the last week.  The main news is how Nora is coming along, which is slow but steady and speeding up a bit.

Some of you who have been reading the chapters coming out have noticed that I've been tying some older threads in the story together, and this is really what Nora 3 is meant to do.  For fans of the series, Nora 3 is going to be a hell of a ride...and maybe a little bittersweet.

Cover started for Evolution of a Ball of Light. Also, title change!

I'm changing the title of Evolution of a Ball of light to "Ball of Light: Evolution."  Technically, the evolution will keep happening for the MC, Steve so it doesn't really make sense, but this is a much more marketable title.

Second, I have commissioned some art for the cover.  I think once we have art, I'll be able to work much faster on its completion.

This is just a quick FYI post, and an update on the Ball of Light IP that Adom is publishing. :P
