Something I realized recently is that I tend to keep the same tones all over the skin, which doesn’t really help the eye believe what it’s seeing. That’s why I’ve been experimenting with the colors again, this time I kept it simple by just using the warm tones the closer she’s to the mirror/camera and grayer colors for the body parts away from us.
So, just a lil experiment after all, hopefully will draw her again soon focusing on her features and elements other than colors.

I had to redo this one because the first sketch ended up looking like a twink lmao. I didn’t want him to look too defined, somewhere in the middle (to contrast Steve, maybe?).
Also, that arm was so fucking fun, tried a different technique for the metal cause I didn’t really want to think about placing the reflections of the room so this worked perfectly.

Honestly I think it’s been a waste of time that no one has put some tattoos and piercings on Nico Minoru, it just feels right ngl.
Tried different technique for the tattoos this time, using a pastel brush first and then details with the gouache brush, which gave it a pretty realistic finish to the shadows.

Alright so, the whole purpose of creating an intense and intimate atmosphere was to highlight the body language.
They’re so deep in the moment that they are fusing together, Kate’s using her powers to go through Illyana and you can see she’s also involuntarily using them on her left hand from how tight is her grip. Magik powers serve as an extra help rather than a merging element, they don’t have enough hands so they use their resources.
