A fun little bath time set

I’ve been holding on to these incredible, early 1900, ocean blue Czech glass earrings for years. They were found in a warehouse in LA along with an entire warehouse full of antique Czech glass that was no doubt intended for Hollywood studios. Last day home

Well, today is my last day home before I head back to the quad cities for a few days. Just a couple quick doctors appointments and then I turn around and come back to the island for a week before I head to Nashville to work. Since I was a little girl I had a strange fatty tumor inside my cheek. Time for it to come out and be biopsied so that I can stop thinking about it.

Hispanic Heritage Month: Bella Sin

As important as stripping history is, so too is the present and the future. One artist in particular who marries the past and the present so well is Bella Sin. They just received the Cleveland LGBT+ Arts and Culture Award and does incredible work in activism and education, particularly with regard to Hispanic and Latin culture and history. Good morning beautiful people!

In my research on cheetahs for my upcoming performance at Detroit Dirty Show in February, I came across this great video on cheetahs and it answered so many questions.

Disappointing and discouraging and I survived anyhow. I thrived anyhow. Today started with oversleeping for my morning shoot then In my afternoon shoot only 13 of the 500+ photos we took actually made the cut. I found out some rather disturbing news. Hispanic Heritage Month ends on October 15th, so I'm moving right along and talking today about Tongolele. She was born Yolanda Montes on January 3rd, 1932 in Spokane, WA. Her father was Spanish and her mother was Swedish. Her maternal grandmother was Tahitian. This earned her the nickname, "The Queen of the Tahitian Dances." She moved to Mexico in 1947 and began her dancing career. While not technically a "burlesque" dancer, because she didn't do striptease, she was a vedette.
