Uboa - Tiredness Shrine (EP) (Ambient/Drone)

Hey!

Sorry about doing nothing for a while as I had a lot of health issues. I've been currently staying at my parents house resting awaiting results to a lot of tests (I suspect MCAS or autoimmune/allergy). Two nights ago I couldn't sleep, and brought my Digitone in bed and just jammed to make me sleepy, as insomnia is one of the symptoms i've been fighting. These were done somewhere between 1-3AM.

It's Digitone drones, using its looper/sequencer and some playing, recorded in a single take direct onto my computer. Then I added some field recordings at the beginning and end of the tracks, then mastering - that's it. It's a simple release for a change, as I tend to overcomplicate things.

After I played Roadburn, I stayed in Zandvoort in the Netherlands - a beach town. The weather was gloomy and I was recovering (once again, i love my immune system) from a cold. I walked around Zandvoort beach and took some field recordings before it got too windy. The cover is a photo of the beach, blurred partially by rain. Despite it being cold and having a cold, wondering around that beach by myself really helped clear my head and was quite peaceful. There were smokestacks in the distance (too far away to get a proper picture of) and it seemed ...apocalyptic. Violet and I went down together a few days later, before we left to head back to Australia. It also had statues like this on the beach for some reason. These two songs are inspired by this place.

No sudden jumpscares or screams etc here, and the noise elements are subtle. Hope it calms you a little, but it has a teeny bit of dissonance to keep things interesting. I'll maybe do more ambient stuff in the future, as its probably my favourite thing to make when trying to keep my stress levels low.
