I bought this TOS door panel (door chime) with sounds and lights and it arrived today! I'm so happy, it goes SWOOOSSSSHHH when you cross it's detector (you know, the iconic sound of the orginal series doors XD); I think it's perfect to create a simple TOS set on my studio. The inhabitants of Barsoom in Edgar Rice Burroughs' novels (and current Dejah Thoris comics) have reddish skin. It's something I've hesitated a lot to replicate or not... first because changing your skin tone to "natural" tones just for cosplay can be very inappropriate and of course controversial, but being Barsoonians a Martian fantasy/alien race I don't see how it could be inconsiderate towards any real culture (not any different than painting yourself blue to cosplay an Andorian)......

From the base 3D printed, to the finished helmet... I've lost count of the hours I've been sanding this piece XD
The only secret for a 3D printed big cosplay prop to have an acceptable finish is the hours you spend filling, sanding and starting again. It's tedious work, but worth the result!

To create this Chi-Ro cosplay, besides the bodypaint work and styling a new wig, I modified two dresses to create 2 different outfits: a daytime palace look and 2nd more ethereal nighttime outfit... This year is the 25th anniversary of Farscape, one of my favorite series!! It's like space opera on acids.
