New Moves! And other updates.

Woof! It's been more than a month since my last update. So sorry about that, just haven't had a ton on interesting stuff to share til just now.

I'm working thru Lion's Moveset! I wanna focus on making this game feel fast and kinetic. And one of the main points of feedback I got was how committal the swing was. So I took out the windup! I also made it so you can cancel into the next one without having to wait for the animation to finish.

Cutscenes!

Just a lil mini update:

I got cutscenes working!

It was pretty quick too, for something as basic at this. For my first real game dev project, i'm gonna try to keep things as simple as possible so I don't overwhelm myself, but it's still really cool to have the ability to break away from the gameplay like this and just let the characters move and act and talk.

Kinda boring but IMPORTANT stuff.

Coming off of the prototype phase, it's time to lay the groundwork for the full actual game. I'm starting off with a game state manager that helps me move between different scenes and states.

Reversal! and an extra dimension!

Hey folks, have you tried my prototype?

If you have, you might have come across a secret tech, the reversal. It's a way to quickly get yourself setup once you get an enemy airborne so you can launch them without having to aim!

Gameplay update

Prototyping the gameplay

Just wanted to share what I've been working on! Here's some of the basics of gameplay running in Unity!

You can move around, graze bullets to fill up your meter, then reflect them with a big swing!
