I have to apologize, I have been way too quiet over here, for much too long. This has been an... odd summer, for a variety of reasons, and my time has been even more limited than usual.

Sorry about the filler in the middle of a hot action scene, but this week has been brutal. I got back in late, today, and was basically exhausted. I couldn't even get my brain to work, let alone jump-started into "It's comic time, be funny now" mode.

I've gone past trying to burn the candle at both ends, and apparently have started just shovelling them into a bonfire by the crate.

An Update!

I apologize for being so quiet lately, but I've been extremely busy. It's the height of summer up here, and even though we have nearly 'round-the-clock daylight (it's currently 10:45 PM and I could drive without headlights right now :) ) we also only really have three months of what you'd call a real summer.

May is usually still muddy and nothing is green yet, and September turns cold and the leaves start falling off the trees. So we really only get June, July and August.  (And Aug...

Self-quarantined Book Sale!

Told to stay home from work? Can't go to the bar? Paintball field is closed for the duration? Nothing to do but put bottles of hand sanitizer on Craigslist for $50 an ounce? Then why not use your time productively and catch up on your TWB reading!

For the duration of this stupid media-overhyped "crisis"- or until the end of March, whichever comes first- I'm having a special two-book TWB sale!

Two things....

First and by far the most important, I'd like to officially say Thank You to everyone, especially those who recently bumped their pledge up to help me out, as well as those that bought books and sketches.  That was all very helpful and came at a somewhat dire time.

I know many of you bumped it up only for a limited time, and it won't hurt my feelings if you have to drop it back down. I well understand tight finances, believe me. :)

Not blowin' you off...

I'm not blowin' you ladies and gents off, or at least not for frivolous reasons. I've had a great deal of pretty important non-shop work to do that last week or two. The kind of thing you can't really blow off or set aside. The kind of thing everything else gets set aside FOR.

I do apologize for the iffy updates, but at the moment, I don't have a choice. This stuff HAS to be done.

I'm hoping that next week will be back to normal,...

Another thank you, and...

Another apology. I just now- late Monday evening- finished up and packed the last four orders placed when I made my funds request... almost two weeks ago. :D

Another typical case of insufficient preparation. I'd expected both that only a few would order books, and those who did, would only order the latest four, or possibly the latest six or so.

But as it turned out, half of you ordered full sixteen-book sets.

This might seem like an odd request, but can anyone with a copy of Book 8 handy, the one with the zombies on the cover... tell me what the title says? :)

Books, books, books!

So, I just tried to use some hand lotion... I usually don't use the stuff, but it's been so cold and dry lately, that my hands are getting dry. And that's really only a problem when handling paper- like these books, plus thank-you cards, wrapping paper, etc. I can't grip any of it well, so it's rather frustrating to try and print, wrap, stack, etc.

So I broke out a dusty old bottle of some anti-germ, moisturizing hand lotion I had in the back of a bathroom drawer.
