Case 176: Yingying Zhang

Emily posted about the incident on Facebook, where it quickly spread among campus forums. She warned other students: “Don’t get into the car even if they claim to be police or have a badge.”

Suddenly, an SUV appeared up ahead. It was parked on the side of the road, facing the wrong direction. It was positioned in such a way that the taxi driver had to swerve to avoid colliding with it. Then he heard screaming. Loud, terrified screaming. Fearing he was about to be carjacked, the taxi driver wound up his windows and sped up until the SUV disappeared in the darkness behind him.

The identikit image showed a man with a pale face, slicked-back dark hair, deep-set brown eyes and bushy eyebrows. His right eyebrow was raised, giving him a somewhat inquisitive expression. While studying the sketch, Charlotte France remarked that it looked like her houseguest - Jim Ryan, the only exception being that Jim had blue eyes.  Jim heard Charlotte but said nothing, keeping his eyes affixed to the television.
