I gave my ants aphids again.

Black garden ants milk aphids for their honeydew. Those who already follow me for longer know I tried this before and failed ( they ate all the aphids 😅). Hope it works better this time. I'll keep you posted

Inside the colony.

This is the messor barbarus colony. They are very busy as you can see.

As for the other (bigger) messor colony I still have not moved them to the new Bob room. I need to buy some shelving units and I'm not looking forward to moving them because it will not be easy and they hate movement.

All other Bobs are moved by now!

Update on roach Bob

We officially have a male and female Bob of the emerald roaches! Maybe some babies soon? Also sorry for the dirty glass of the terrarium, it is impossible for me to clean it without disturbing the Bobs, they are always there.

Patreon roadmap update!

Sometimes you win some, sometimes you lose some. We lost a few patrons since last update but that happens! No problem, I'm still grateful for everyone of you! With me moving and my girlfriend breaking her arm (she is still recovering) I have been less active on here so I expected to lose some people.

That being said I'm very exited for the future, with the new house and Bob room I have more space for new Bobs and more space to film in general. I'm most exited for garden videos, although...

Working hard to get next video finished!

Had some late evenings this week (everyday till almost midnight). I'm hoping to get it finished by friday. Pretty sure I won't be able to finish it early for patreon here. Or max 1 day earlier. I'm sorry!

They are probably pretty stressed from the trip so I turned of the lights now and going to leave them alone for a day or 2

It is still a work in progress but we are getting there. Don't mind the mess I need to organise everyting better, buy some shelving units etc. Also I still need to move the two messor colonies and the rubber ducky terrarium

Yesterday and today I moved. This will be the new room for the Bobs, I still need to paint it and place some shelved etc.. because of the move will be less frequent in the next few days .After that (once I have moved the Bobs) I will be able to post better content because I have more space to film!

Update on stick Bobs!

Stick Bobs are doing well and growing fast! I'm moving them to a bigger terrarium soon now.

A video on these Bobs will have to wait until we have some little twigs tho..

Family weekend!

I'm on family weekend so this weekend no posts on the Bobs! Next week friday I move so from then the updates will be from a new animal room.. exiting!

update on my girlfriend: the second operation went well and she is back home now. Ofcourse she still needs a lot of help with everything but recovery can now begin.

For my next video I did an insect trap again, this time in a forest! It has been a long time since I did something like this.

I don't know when I'm going to be able to finish it because I have spend the last couple of days in the hospital.

My girlfriend broke her arm, like broke it very hard. Metal pins in arm hard. Soo she kinda needs help with everything. I'm working hard to get the video finished on the normal schedule (next week friday). But I don't know if I will be able to...

The bread experiment..

Left to right (1-2-3) = only light - light + water - light + water + air). Looks like things have kind of reach a balance, the mold is pretty much staying the same but I do see the bread shrinking, especially in the second jar.

Been working on something

I have been working on two second hand work benches so I can use them to film on or display some terrariums when I move next month. I bought 2 of these for 50 euro. They were in bad shape but they turned out "ok" like always with me 🤣 the bottom plank still needs some varnish.

It was my birthday this weekend but couldn't help myself from working on them (don't worry I also took some time of to enjoy my day).

Remember Bob with the missing leg?

It is growing back! Probably one more molt and Bob is as good as new.

How I record sound

I record sound with a blanket over my head because I don't have a sound proof room 😅 I sit here for around 4 hours recording stupid jokes untill my neck hurts from te blanket pulling on my headphones...

Are there better ways to do this? Probably..

Exiting news!

You guys are the first to hear (read?) this but I bought a house. Well technically me and my girlfriend bought a house and the bank owns it kinda but yeah you get the point!

I don't know if I told this before but I'm currently 30 (almost 31) and I still live with my parents, yeah I know that is old, but it is very very very expensive to buy a house today. So after nearly 10 years of me and my girlfriend saving our money (besides an occasional trip) we finally had enough for a down pay...

They have been hibernating from October and temperatures are raising so it is time to wake them!.

And yes they are in a dirty basement but it has the perfect temperature in winter for them to hibernate 😅
