As you already know, my face cards always get improved so that none of the faces in one deck look like another. Most of the details that I change are so so small that I often think it's not worth to talk about it. I also hestitated with this post because explaining what I do is so incredible complicated and time consuming. But because of all the hours of work I think it's worth it to talk about it.

After all the decks that I've designed and printed I'm proud to say that I never jumped on a hype train to sell as much playing cards as possible. It's a great thought to leave something for posterity with these playing cards. No amount of money in the world can make up for that.

A creative boost visited me today. Maybe you'll see a completely new MxS deck besides the MxS Casinos next year.
To get a little bit more variation I thought the Arrco faces would be nice for this deck. I'm happy with the drawings of the faces on the Kings but I need to let it sink in first. I'm not sure yet whether we will like it in the long run.

A few years ago I requested the price for 2500 decks with MetalLuxe gold from USPCC. Something over $16,000. With this sum, the idea of printing a MetalLuxe deck also died for the time being. There will be two different MxS Casino decks. One with a red seal and one with a blue one. Red for the regular edition and a blue seal for all stripper decks. At this point I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain to you what a stripper deck is but here is a quick explanation from Wikipedia:

Beauties, Christmas is getting closer. Time to give you a few more information about the Red Remedies Collector's Box.

It took me several years to learn how I need to draw new faces on standard court cards. Today I know my first drawings were crap. But you learn over time, it's a natural process. Just wanted to show you what arrived today. It‘s so great to see the own custom tuck box shape as final product. I‘m so happy with the result.
We only printed a bit more than 200 boxes. They will go online on blackroses.cards in around 2-3 weeks.
Every day this month I'm working on the smallest details for the upcoming Remedies decks. It has reached a level of detail that is really just ridiculously small but you can be sure that on the whole it will make a huge difference.
Take a look at the image and let me know which version you prefer. Left or right. There have been several attempts to redesign db's court card, not just from my side. But the original drawing is way too iconic to replace it with a different drawing.

The collector's boxes should be finished by the end of this week. I've come up with something special for the boxes. But I'll talk more about it in a separate post.
Beauties, the current plan is to send the Black Remedies to USPCC still this year so that we have them around March / April 2022. This month I've been working intensively the improvement of the deck. I'm sitting on the smallest details for hours, most of which go unnoticed again. So the question of "why" is only justified. It's like a competition only with the difference that I just try to beat myself. I wouldn't be happy with the final product when I know I can do it better.

Last night I had the idea to mirror the front of the tuck.
Originally I wanted to use the mirrored image only on an ad-card since I'm a fan of back designs on the back of a tuck box. But it simply makes sense to use this on the back of the tuck.
