Hi peeps,
How are you all?
On this side, all is good. I took Friday, Saturday and Sunday mostly off, only getting orders ready and popping by the post office. I woke up Friday feeling incredibly exhausted and unmotivated but it still took my boyfriend sitting me down and forcing me to decide to take the day (and week-end) off in order for me to concede I probably needed it. Inktober is great, but this year has been tough, and having to come up with new ideas every day is ver...

Hello lovely people,
I'm catching up to Inktober slowly but surely!
The one you see here finished is Day 14, or drawing 14, or however you want to call it. Since I decided to stop following the prompts, I renumbered all the drawings in order of creation rather than in order of prompt completed, so this is the 14th drawing I created for the challenge.
I spent today sketching out the next couple of days, and you can see those sketc...

Hi peeps,
Although I had an exhausting week-end, today was a good day. I managed to ink my 13th Inktober drawing, "Tatters", and I also managed to fit in some work on my "Fragments" painting, finally.
It feels good to paint again, I was getting a little frustrated with just using black and white. I suspect that mixing things up will give me a little more energy for Inktober.
Here's my progress so far on "Fragments", as well as the ink drawing!
I hope ...

Inked these two today!
"Gilded" (the second one, I spelled it wrong on the drawing, I'll have to fix that) got a little weird, but that's my jam.
I see it as a representation of how we build our own gilded cages, how we can create our how limits and barriers, and how we sometimes imprison others within our own confines, whether because we don't like their freedom or because we don't realise...

Hi peeps,
The thing I find most stressful about Inktober is having to come up with an idea, sketch it out and then ink it, all in one day. In the past, I have dreamed of coming up with ideas a couple of weeks ahead of the challenge and perhaps sketching them out, so I only have to ink on the day, but because my taste and inspiration are fickle, and because I change my mind so easily if I have even the smallest amount of time to think about a concept, I haven't man...

Hi everyone,
Here's my drawing for day 16, "Wild" (also the prompt word)!
Don't worry, the detail wasn't as long or straining to do as it looks, it was fairly loose and flowy.
I also included a scan of a concept I initially sketched out but ended up not liking, so I won't be exploring it further for now. It was for the prompt "Husky".

I am thinking of leaving th...

Hi everyone,
I managed a drawing on Monday, but had to take this one slow as I needed to take a bunch of breaks in order to not strain my wrist too much.
Using felt-tip pens is actually making that kind of detail a lot easier on my wrist, and I don't think I would attempt them if not.
I really wanted to explore this concept though, and I was pinning for tree detail, so I just indulged myself while also not pressuring myself to finish on time.
This drawing is fo...

Hi peeps,
$10 and $15 rewards have been sent!
Packages include any rewards from July to September.
$20+ rewards are mostly ready and most only need the September print before I can send them. I'll include any items anyone ordered from my shop in the meantime in the Patreon package (if you'd like them sent separately, let me know!).
I added an extra postcard print to say thank you to all of you for your continued support and patience while I sort my delay...

Hi peeps,
Here are my drawings for yesterday and today.
The first one was for the prompt "Pattern", and I haven't titled it yet.
The second one is for the prompt "Snow", and I titled it simply, just "Snowdrop". That one stemmed from an idea by my boyfriend. :)
The first conc...

This one was a tough one, and I'm still not sure if I've pulled it off. Figuring out the anatomy of a person inside a person is rather boggling for the brain, and I lost track of my lines a few times, haha.
Anyway, I hope you guys like it, and that you are all well!
See you tomorrow :)

Hey peeps,
I played catch-up again today and did Day 3, following the prompt "Bait". I kept the prompt as the title also, as it felt appropriate.
Thank you for your lovely response on yesterday's, I'm so glad you liked it!
I hope you will like this one also :)
Take care!

Hey peeps,
I felt like playing catch-up today, so I worked on Day 2 of Inktober instead of Day 7. The prompt was "mindless", and the title for this piece is "Cut-Out".
You may have noticed that I didn't create anything yesterday, as I really didn't feel up to it. I'm trying to not put pressure on myself, and I'll catch up when I catch up.
This particular drawing actually went through a couple of stages, with an initial sketch I scrapped because it didn't fe...

Hey everyone,
I was feeling somewhat better today, so I sat on the couch with a tea and doodled and came up with today's Inktober.
It was for the prompt "Freeze", and I titled this one "Torpor".
It was a simple one but I like it, and it felt nice to relax and draw for a bit. I'm still under the weather, so I haven't tried to catch up on anything yet, but I will as soon as I feel better.
I am probably going to try and rest at the week-end, in the hopes of being back in ...

Hey peeps,
I'm afraid I am currently quite ill, which has stopped me from doing Inktober yesterday, and probably today also.
I've tried keeping up with other less effort-intensive tasks, so I'll have a video up on my channel tonight, a vlog of The Thieves, but that alone has taken up all my energy, so I'll be resting for the rest of the day. It's also why I've not been responding to messages and comments lately.
I hope to be better tomorrow or this week-end, and I'll pick ...

Hello lovely people,
So, I am already failing at my "taking it easy this year" decision for Inktober...
But I had so much fun with this piece! I love working in tiny detail, and creating different layers of elements in a piece....This one took me a few hours, but it was a fun start to the month.
I titled it "Felled", and was created for day 1 of Inktober, with the prompt "Ring".
I have been inspiring myself from the artist Will Murrai a lot for ...

Hi everyone!
It's this time of the year again! 🔆
As I mentioned in previous posts, I will be participating in Inktober again this year (of course), but I will be taking it a little more easily than previous years, because I can't afford to burn myself out, and I have so much work to do beside Inktober, that I need to be able to manage everything without melting my brain.
So here's a little breakdown of what I am planning, what you can expect to see ...

Hi everyone,
Here's the finished version of "The Thieves"!
Even though this piece made use of some colours I am very unfamiliar with, I thoroughly enjoyed painting it, and I am rather happy with the result.
I had initially started out with a very dark background (guess what colour I uuussseeedd XD), because I ...

Hi peeps,
I have made some progress on the last painting I shared, so I thought I'd show you how far I've gotten.
I initially had a dark blue background, but it just didn't work for me somehow, so I painted over it with this pastel pink. Which is a really unusual colour for me to use, but I really like it now!
I am nearly there now, just another day or two and I should be...

Hi peeps,
Some of you may remember an earlier iteration of this idea from my Patreon lenses. I updated the sketch over the last few days and I think this will be the final version.
I'll start painting this week.

Hey peeps,
Here's the Sketchbook PDF for September!
A few of these sketches I posted on Insta last month, and a few are exclusive for you :)
I started working in a sketchbook I've had for aaaages. It has grey toned paper, quite thin so not great for painting, but still decent for drawing. It's a little smaller than A4, and has no branding, and the only writing on it is in chinese, so I would be rather incapable of telling you what it is or where I got it. It's not the ...

Hi peeps,
How are you all?
I finally finished "Bloom".
As those of you who saw the colour comps I shared a few days ago, I steered away from the blue tone for the character in the end. That was partially intentional, and partially involuntary. I wanted muted tones for the skin, but I ended up being too intimidated by blue. I really want to explore that colour scheme for a character, but as this piece is my first painting since June, the risk was too paralysing, and I nee...

I am preparing the sketchbook PDF for this month, and it made me wonder :
What would you guys prefer going forward :
1. Keep the Sketchbook PDFs as they are, a compilation of scans of the sketches I created the previous month, that you can download each beginning of month.
OR
2. Posts of new sketches as and when I draw some.

Hi peeps!
Gosh, it took me long enough to make this didn't it. I'm so sorry!
This video is the in detail process video of Kindling.
It isn't entirely real-time, because I had over 7 hours of footage, which I simply cannot edit as real-time video, nor can I imagine anyone wanting to watch a video as long as 3 movies.
Any part where I am explaining my process is real-time, and any part that is sped-up will be because I already explained what I...
