Globalization Patch for Dec 15 Inner Circle Release

Hey everyone!

We were alerted by our Inner Circle member Malkavir (thanks very much for letting us know!) about a serious issue with our test release for some users who have non-English versions of Windows.  The game would interpret our physics commands incorrectly and launch Onyx around at light speed whenever she would attack D:!

November 2019 Progress Update!

Hey everyone! 

The first release featuring the 3D character overhaul will be ready by the end of the month!  We're currently still working on updating the combat code (mostly collision and physics), not only so it behaves with the 3D characters better, but because we need to consider Onyx's expanded moves as well as various new effects like knockback.

Inner Circle Update for November 1, 2019!

We're just about back to having the game in playable form, and while it took longer than expected, we're at the point where the 3D conversion is paying off.  Animating is much more efficient process now,  It's also far easier to include alternate clothing models in 3D, so we're raising the priority on an equipment system.

We've made some very good progress on Onyx's rig and the animation pipeline since the last update, and I'm now in the middle of creating test animations so we can get the game back into a playable state.  I have a few fun examples to show off, as well as new models from Limbo.

We should have another Pure Onyx release ready for you next week!  Here are the expected changes:

  • Completely reworked Combat/AI code that should clear up many of the existing known issues, as well as remove input lag and glitches.
  • Splicer Boss grapple animation and first H scene.

PURE ONYX - June 6 2019 Test Release

Hey again!  

Here's the next test release for Pure Onyx!  

We've added the Splicer boss on Waves 10, 20, etc., as well as the new Chain Splicer enemy.  These units are using placeholder animations (they aren't rigged yet), so keep in mind that their motion and FX will improve significantly once we get to rig them.  They also will get additional moves and sound effects, but overall they're quite functional.

Hey guys! 

We're going to spend another day polishing up the PO release, but we'll definitely have it posted by tomorrow evening. 

The new enemies are in and look a lot better than I expected them to with just their placeholder animations :D.  We had to wrestle some bugs with the new code for the boss' skills/mechanics, but are past those and now just need some time to test and balance.

June 2019 Progress Update!

Hey everyone!

The update is relatively short this month, but that's mostly because there's a lot of new artwork to show :D.   Also, we’re planning for the next Pure Onyx release to be on the 5th!

The content additions since the May 7th release will include two new enemies (Chain Splicer and Wraxe boss), a new H scene for the Splicer Thug (an updated version of the scene from the Inner Circle release), and updated artwork and animations for Onyx.
