Callisto v0.60 Update - Week 2

Quick update as to how things have been going over the last week. The pole dancing animations have been rendering nicely and should be finished some time tomorrow. Due to the nature of the animation (transparent), I have to render both a colour render and an opacity render. Thankfully, due to design, the rendering speed is blisteringly fast, with about 40 seconds per frame for the colour render and 20 seconds per frame for the opacity render. Callisto v0.60 Update - Week 0

After a bit of a break over the holidays, it's back to work at full speed next week. Wasn't completely idle over the Christmas period and have reworked the introduction to the game with the assistance of Professorx10. This gives a new player a better initial experience and sets the stage for the main game. It also directs them more effectively to the in game help. Just a sample screen from the new intro.

Callisto - December 18th Update

Have been spending the bulk of this work working on the pole dancing animations. In order to ensure that I am not heading down a dead end, I rendered and encoded one of the dance animations including transparency. Following this, I implemented into the game, through a very minor tweak to the code. Whilst the system is the same as that used for the salvage and weapons training animations I wanted to make sure. Relationship Wheel Implementation

There has been a range of feedback relating to the new relationship wheel implementation into the game. This system was introduced into the game to tailor the way in which the crew interacts with the MC, based upon recent events. The goal is to increase immersion by having the crew react in a more natural way.

Callisto - December 11th Update

Callisto was released at version v0.50 last week and following a few minor bugs being identified, v0.51 was created. The v0.51 doesn't contain any new content, hence if you have already played through v0.50, there is no need to download this update.

Callisto v0.50 - Week 23 Update

Happy to report that I have completed all of the content within v0.50, including coding and personal testing. I am currently uploading to allow the development team to do quick once over of the content added since the last beta. Have put in some long days in an attempt to wrap this version up as quickly as possible. Unfortunately had some back problems on Tuesday which side lined me for that day. Additionally, some of the recent scenes have involved multiple characters and also required work with dForce (makes clothing hang naturally). So the end result, is that I have pretty much just maintained the original schedule.

Callisto v0.50 - Week 20 Update

On schedule, I released the v0.50 beta on Wednesday. Following some error reports from the Callisto Team, I have since rectified the offending parts of the code. These corrections whilst not game breaking, prompted me to upload a new beta v0.50b this morning. As mentioned previously, this beta includes all of the v0.50 content with the exception of the side mission and several of the lewd animations (alternative angles). Everything on track for the release of the beta for $10 Patreons in a week's time. Have been tweaking the code for the lewd content for v0.50 in parallel with testing. Rendering of animations has been going so well over the past few weeks, I elected to bring forward the work on the interface for the lewd content. First cab off the rank was to post-process all of the animation stills and then encode into video files. Following the successful creation of the strip club interface system last week, it was back to creating story lines and images for the game. A good portion of this week was devoted to creating a significant event at the strip club, that depending on how you play it, leads elsewhere. Finished off the Kara backstory on the weekend (still have to render out) and worked on the lewd animations through the course of the week. Last night I managed to finish off the posing of the last of the lewd animations required for v0.50 and even some that won't make an appearance until v0.60. Callisto 0.50 - Week 10 Update

The work on the lewd animations took a little bit of a turn this week. As I converted several of these from image sequences to playable animations some issues were identified. One was related to posing, where I had to rework the animation of the Captain's left arm on one range of animations. Callisto 0.50 - Week 9 Update

The work on creating the lewd animations has been continuing over the past week. Have been using my dual GPU setup with the more powerful card processing the renders, whilst the less powerful utilised for posing animations and other general work. Due to the nature of these animations, the rendering time is substantially greater than creation time. The following is the current status of the lewd animations.

Callisto 0.50 - Week 8 Update

The side story writing has been reviewed for both grammatical accuracy and story line consistency. There are some minor tweaks required to give some context for a couple of the characters within the side mission. Generally though the modifications required are minimal. I quickly did a sample render this morning, to give you a sense of the style of this side mission. The marshal outfit that Kara is wearing is a recently released Daz asset, acquired using the funds raised via Patreon.
