Sample Animation - Chiara Pole

Rendering of the animation went well with each frame taking roughly 1 minute to render. For the game I will construct as a transparent animation with a variable background depending on how busy the club is and which stage is being used.

Hint System Bug Fix

A glitch has been identified in the current hint system contained within the map screen. From the testing I have done, this is now resolved if you replace the existing location.rpyc file in the game folder with the one as linked below.

Callisto 0.50 - Week 1 Update Part 2

Callisto 0.40 - Week 16 Update

Managed to released the second beta a little ahead of schedule and have had my head down working on the side story. Beta testing has gone fairly smoothly, with feedback predominately creative contributions and correction of grammar / spelling. No true bugs returned at this time.

Callisto 0.40 - Week 15 Update

Extremely close to completing the work required for the second beta. Have 5 renders to complete, then it is just tweaks to final coding, before I test the latest content myself. With some luck, this will see the beta released on Sunday. As a bit of a teaser, please see the following image from a small scene, I will tack onto the end of the current main story line. I finally have my normal internet connection back working again. I can't believe my ISP has a technical support group that doesn't work on the weekend. Guess I'm going to be changing to an alternative in the near future.

Callisto 0.40 - Week 12 Update

As mentioned last week, I included some additional content in 0.40, to make the events on the ship more consistent with the situation at the end of the main story line content. The renders associated with this content were complete on Tuesday. Over the past couple of days I have managed to complete the dialogue / renders associated with both the news stories in 0.40. Tracey has managed to get away from the anchor desk and is reporting on site.

The beta is so close to being finished, with me just now awaiting 12 animation frames and 3 stills to be rendered. It would have been done already, if not for a couple of snags I hit with the animations, details of which I posted earlier this week on Discord. Video card has been processing animation frames continuously for the last couple of weeks now. There are about 150 frames left to be rendered (1755 frames completed to date), which should be completed in about 2 days. Callisto 0.40 - Week 8 Update

Been a good week completing all of the animation posing for v0.40. Whilst I finished the posing yesterday, there are still 7 animations requiring their image series rendered. Hopefully I can process all of these next week. Thankfully, due to simpler scene complexity (no water), the render time per frame is down to 5 to 10 minutes rather than the 20 to 30 minutes for the ones involving water. Been a bit of a mixed week this week. Whilst the images series for the animations are looking really nice, the render time is greater than what I expected. Unlike most of the other games out there I have a far higher frame count and more complex posing. Whilst this looks way better than a 20 frame loop animation, it takes times to pose and render. Well I managed to close out the the renders for the Liberation of Dione story arc. Ended up being a little more than I originally planned, as closing out the arc required a few more renders than expected. This portion of the story ended up being roughly 250 renders and 3 animations, most of which included several characters per render. Been a good week on the coding / story writing front. Did a few renders this week, however these have definitely taken a back seat. As far as coding and story line, I have completed about 70% of the main story line, done the backstories and the TV story. I also managed to code and test the full basketball game and winning incentive scene. The basketball coding went better than expected and worked exactly how I thought it would.
