Well, we hit the $300 goal quite a bit faster than I had anticipated, so I spent a bit of time yesterday finishing the story up, and posted The Council of Arches five minutes ago. Be warned that it's a short story entirely dedicated to the group's first attempt at playing a tabletop game, very slice-of-life, and contains spoilers up to ch 56. I don't consider it required reading for the main story.

I think that word count is a terrible metric of performance for an author, because word count isn't terribly hard to inflate, and really easily comes at the expense of the story construction and/or quality of the prose. That being said, it's not like you can easily quantify a work's other qualities, which is why word count dominates discussion of output. I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is that Glimwarden is still on hiatus. I've written about five more chapters for it, as well as done some necessary edits to prior chapters to shore up places where I got off track ... but I've gotten distracted, and started work on something else.
The good news is that the thing I started working on is going really well, and is going to continue to go well into the foreseeable future, so I'm reopening this Patreon, and hopefully that won't ups...

I lately haven't had enough energy/motivation/inspiration/discipline for writing, which is resulting in me not actually writing anything, or just writing at an impractically slow pace.
