I was VERY productive this weekend! I started a whole new costume too, it was nice to be busy and motivated. A friend wants to go to the Ren Faire and so I finally have a DEADline (ha ha) on something I've been considering making for a while now. Any guesses? 👀

Wig and make up test for Evelynn, FINALLY. The wig is really nice for the cost, since it isn't a lace front I was a little worried I'd have a harder time hiding my hair but this works quite nicely for how comfortable and easy it is to wear.

I was asked by a friend to do a walk-through painting workshop for a party and... since I'd never done one before I hopped on twitch on Friday night to talk my way through the process live (with some help, obviously). Of course the new Evelynn costume arrives the week AFTER my photographer just visited for pictures. Such is life... I need to do a few updates to the costume anyway? I got a large bc I wanted to make sure my shoulders didn't hulk out of the jacket. I probably could have gotten a medium? But it looks like everything will be easy enough to take in a half inch or so...

Chase is such a wizard, these lights look so rad. I think in retrospect I would have gone lighter on the eyeshadow sense these pictures ended up being so dramatically lit, but hey... You're always learning new stuff. I love all my flowers :D

Here are some WIPs of the costume process for fish prof. The top/shirt design is actually based entirely off of Jhoira's tunic since I already had built those little epaulette-things into the sleeve (the robe style closure in the front is just some creative layering top-stitched down to the front panel to make it look like it wraps around). Making this ridiculous fish hat was honestly my favorite part of this build. I was PRETTY confident the plan I concocted initially would turn out and I'm sure glad that it did on considering the schedule I was on. It's all EVA foam of various thicknesses (2mm to 5mm) cut on various biases to produce all those angles. Here's some process pictures of the make up for Adrix & Nev (Adrix OR Nev? Who knows). It was definitely a learn-as-you-go experience, much like the first time I did the owl make up back for Kaldheim.
As always, the most important thing is getting some high-quality and skin-safe paints to work with and spraying sealing spray A WHOLE bunch between layers. I used kryolan products for this.
So far I've been a bird and a fish and a tiefling social media influencer... What's next...
