What kind of prehistoric situation do you want to see Ayla in next?  

The giant toad  scene is nearly finished up and the carnivorous plant scene will be released all at once as a full comic later this month, or in the first week of August at the latest. The pencils and inks for it are nearly done but it still needs colors.

So the next comic is up to you guys! The best suggestions will be used as options in a vote next week.

Last night’s animation demo progress

Here is what I was working on in the live stream on Twitch last night. I started with a few of the extremes (key poses) and animated the first part of the snake’s movement. The animation gets choppy again after it takes an interest in Ayla, since that part still needs work, so I left that out for now. This motion will be triggered when she is close enough for the snake to strike, and if she doesn’t attack or move it’ll lunge her.

Jungle Dangers #2 is still in progress (with 5 pages remaining on the toad scene), but I want to start turning my attention towards what to expect in issue 3. More specifically, what's going to happen to Ayla next?

Mer-May in Neverland

Zdenko and I put together one more pinup for the month, featuring Tick-Toc the Croc's favorite meal - sexy mermaids! Sure, everyone knows that old croc gives hell to Captain Hook, but mermaids are the true top-choice dining options and deliciously bountiful in the coves around Neverland. 

Wonder Woman devoured by the Hydra

Wonder Woman has finally met her match! Zdenko and I both ended up working on this pinup, aiming to bring out the maximum coolness for the scene. His take on the hydra really struck a unique note, going right back to the classical roots. For this month I asked him to handle both pinups, so the mermaid and croc will be published in the next few days. 

Giant Toad - Tongue Attack (WIP)

The rough pass animation is set for the tongue attack, aiming right at those thighs. Currently they appear to be coated with an impossibly non-stick teflon but we'll be fixing that soon enough.  

If Ayla had applied good social distancing practices and stayed at least 6ft away from that giant toad she'd be in no danger of being swallowed alive or infected with anything.

Studio focus shifting to "Cretaceous Seas" Game Development

I have a couple major, awesome announcements this week!

1:
I have restructured the Patreon to put a much greater emphasis on funding the Cretaceous Seas game project. The Patreon Goals and Rewards have been updated to reflect that, with a few extra things being added to what was already there.

The Kickstarter funding for the game only covers the first 1-2 levels of production and then runs out after August. Once those first two levels are released,...

May Monthly Pinups

The top two picks from this poll will both go into production. Voting rights for the pinups are now available to the $5 tier.

The comics page production last month was slower than I hoped so I want to do two pinups to kind of make up for the delays. The Red Riding Hood scene is being finished up currently and I expect it to be released before the end of the month. The artists handling that comic and the toad scene (Jungle Dangers #2) are both in areas hard hit by the pandemic ...

T-Rex Animation WIP, behind the scenes footage

 I've been getting a lot of requests to stream some videos of my animation process for "Cretaceous Seas," which would probably be much less exciting than followers are hoping. To see if it'd really be feasible I recording myself working on a few of the t-rex's breakdown and in-between frames. The clip was originally a full 29 minutes but I've shortened it down to a much more consumable 56 seconds.
