I first noticed Bridget K. dancing with friends at my local dive bar. I was absolutely taken by how beautiful she looked out there on the dance floor and made it a point to get her name from a mutual friend.
We started talking over Facebook and a few weeks later hung out together and became fast friends. Originally from the swamps of Louisiana, Bridget's been in LA for a few years working on an event coordinator.
Almost a year later, I finally convinced her to co...

As my longtime Patrons know, I spent a week in New Orleans last year with the beautiful Lillian Winters shooting a new book. Lillian and I have decided to release 12 images from the book as a postcard set for Valentine's Day this year.
If you're interested in getting your paws on the set, here's the ordering information from Ms. Winters hereself:
My Limited Set of 12 Dark and Romantic 6x9 PostCard Prints are on Pre-Sale for $30 from (Today!) Monday, Janu...

Which means that I’m currently:

I first found Sperohhh on Instagram when she posed for Corwin Prescott. I was immediately taken by her striking, powerful face. After liking several of her images, Sperohhh contacted me about shooting on her next L.A. trip.
As it would happen, I had just recently bought myself a late Xmas gift--a Canon 5DmkIII and a 100mm L series macro lens--that I was dying to put to good use.
I gotta say, I'm really, really, really happy with how the por...

Surprise! It's Nickie Jean again. As always, my beautiful muse is back for a new noir-influenced set of pictures.
Shot at her house, we had originally planned on setting up some studio lights and doing portraits, but the overcast day lured us outside to start and we nailed some interesting daylight shots.
Once inside, we were still on a break when I decided I really liked how her living room lamp was casting light. Boom! We shot another set, never getting aro...

This took a lot longer than anticipated, but for all you video patrons, here finally is "Mort de Druantia" starring Meghan Chadeayne.
This was an impromptu video Meghan and I shot together after shooting still photos for my upcoming HEX book and features an original score by Orange is the New Black's composer Scott Doherty.

Ashley Lane may be my absolute favorite new girl to work with. She's fearless, hilarious and can work both the light and dark sides of my photography.
Here's a a 15 image set of Ashley showing off in front of my window during our recent shoot together.
Hey all.
I know I've been pretty silent lately. Part of it was due to a month long depression brought on by a break-up, and part was due to a big new gig I've recently taken on shooting and editing a webseries for famed radio personality Nic Harcourt, called TRANSMISSIONS. We're 2 episodes in and it's been an absolute blast.
This gig will go a long way to helping me fund my next endeavor: opening up an art/photo studio in Downtown ...

At the end of the summer, I told Meghan Chadeayne about my idea to do some sort of blood-soaked dress theme for one of our shoots. As luck would have it, she had an old wedding gown on hand that she was willing to donate to the cause.
Neither of us had any idea how much of a pain it would be.
We spent an entire afternoon making fake blood to use on the dress. In the end I think we ended up with something like a gallon of the stuff. Meghan went to...

"Burn Baby Burn"
Gamble sat naked on the couch but his mind was on the other side of the room, watching himself sitting on the couch with Jimmy King's blonde fucktoy wrapped around him, her face buried in his neck whispering tales of her abusive childhood.
"...my dad and my brothers left that night with guns in hand and I never heard from my Uncle again," Blondie confided.
Only Gamble wasn't listening, focused instead on the scene playing out in front of ...
Nickie Jean again.
There's just something about this girl's face that I can 't get enough of. It certainly doesn't hurt that she's one of my closest friends here in L.A. and always ready at a moment's notice whenever I have new ideas to try out.
For this shoot, I have a very specific B/W portrait style I wanted to try. I wasn't able to get what I was looking for, but instead ended up with a series of portraits that I enjoy for entirely different reasons.
For the...

It's 4:30 in the AM.
I've been driving all night towards the border, racing the approaching sunrise like a soldier marching into battle. It's still dark when we arrive, but already the air is thick with heat and the smell of death.
She strips. I watch. She sets up her camera and snaps ambiguous self portraits.
I watch.
She moves like a foreign language. Wrinkles up her face in unconscious pantomimes. Twists her bod...

I first met Becca Brassfield through Nickie Jean a few years ago when Nickie came over for a headshot shoot with Becca handling makeup choirs. Becca would go on to do makeup on several of my shoots, including this summer's "Wasteland" editorial shot for Dark Beauty Magazine.
Becca recently approached me about shooting her own headshots. As were were setting up for the shoot, we got to talking about my current...

Nickie Jean appears a lot in my work, especially this past year. She's probably one of my closest female friends in Los Angeles and her platinum hair and grey-green eyes paired with a chameleon-like ability to turn herself into dozens of different characters draws me back to her again and again and again.
Earlier this year, as Nickie and I were rekindling our friendship, I saw some photos of her amazingly decorated house, which reminded me of an opium den...

Still decompressing from my NOLA adventures, so we'll resume regular programming on Monday.
In the meantime, here's an exclusive look at a video piece I recently shot for Fallen Constellations. Nickie Jean called me one afternoon and asked if I'd bring my camera out to shoot a little vignette with her bandmate Lucia Garcia to be paired with one of their songs like a music video.
We only had about 45 m...

Lily and I started our fifth day in NOLA by shooting some Agent Provocateur and nudes out on the beautiful porch of Wonderland before breakfast. Later that afternoon we shot a few more sets in living room and kitchen.
Once night time came, we ventured out for night two of the 7th Annual New Orleans Burlesque Fest. The first show, Mondo Burlesque, was once again at Harrah's. While our seats were in a weirdly awkward spot that made viewing hard with end...

New Orleans has been an amazing experience thus far.
On Day 2, Lillian Winters and I had breakfast at a great healthy spot nearby called Satsuma Cafe where I stayed health conscious and had a delicious spinach scramble. So far, I've mostly been able to avoid the comfort food out here, which my health is thanking me for.
After breakfast we made out way to the French Quarter. Immediately after getting out of the Uber, I was approached by a woman asking if Li...
