Self (+ update)

This is mostly a post just so I can say I'm working on the paper piece (in the garden of Eden), but it's taking a little longer because my son just finished first grade and started his summer vacation! He's got Big Plans and they all involve crafting with mom at the table where I usually do my coloring, so... it's been slow going. That's what I'm working on right now.

WIP: secret garden

This has been a very WIP-heavy month around here, but I swear I'm going to work on all these. This is going to be this month's traditional piece, which will go to one of my Lucky Cats or Nazars!

Maybe Crowley found someplace new in the Garden and had the pleasure of showing Aziraphale for the first time. What do you think they see?

WIP: Her confidante

Aziraphale could miracle her hair into the perfect coif, but it's never quite as good. And it gives them each an excuse to let Crowley carefully brush it out and style it while they chatter softly.

This is supposed to be looking into a mirror, so I may add the back of them in the foreground if I'm not too lazy.

On the menu for June

Happy Pride month everybody! Watch me probably not draw even one rainbow thing in all of June because I never do squat for events except Halloween. But I might! I might. I know what I'll DEFINITELY do, and that's go back to Kamitoku Ramen in Waikiki, the best got dang ramen on all of Oahu. I took my dear friend there while she was visiting and I just want more, so I'm letting Crowley & Aziraphale enjoy a couple bowls of Beefy Wild.

Flower thoughts

(WIP) Flower thoughts

This will be this month's painting! I've been hanging onto this WIP for a little while and it feels like the right time. I frankly never get tired of long-haired Crowley + flora.

I don't think I'm able to reply to all of your wonderful comments, but they have made the last couple days so much better. (WIP) In the fray

This is about the halfway point for this piece, which will appear in the Desiderata Good Omens 2023 calendar, alongside a seriously mindblowing collection of artists. The theme is what you wish for in the next season, and something I really want to see is these two, side by side, absolutely tearing it up on the battlefield. The first draft had some pretty significant blood splatters, but that's not exactly kosher for hanging on your wall all month. I think this gets the point across.
