WIP Wednesday: Page 1 Black and White Test

Here's a little preview of the first page for The Chosen One is Simply Too Large!! This was a test to see if I could save time by doing the comic in black and white. Doing full commission-quality colors/shading would be prohibitively time consuming, so I wanted to experiment with styles that were faster to produce.

Hello, I just wanted to let everyone know that work on the desktop version of Eat the Dungeon is continuing!

I had originally planned on finishing it this month, however that is no longer going to be the case. I don't want to rush out something low quality and buggy, and I also want to take the opportunity to jazz up the visuals with effects that weren't viable in the web version, like shaders and particle effects.

Amity is definitely the character I spent the most time designing. I'll probably draw her like a thousand times, so I need to make sure I'll be happy with her design for a long time.

Since she's the main character I wanted her to have a more generic body shape, slim and average height like most female characters you see in media. Of course, I had to make her stand out somehow, and that's why her arms are a little beefy.

Hello! This is a small update addressing concerns I've received over the difficulty of the final level set. Just some balance changes!

WIP Wednesday: Tummy Test

One of the biggest mistakes I kept making during Eat the Dungeon's development is that I would make a character design without thinking about how their stomach would interact with their costume as it got bigger. So there was a lot of times I had to figure it out on the fly and a bunch of those characters had all kinds of detail and doodads on their midsection I had to take into account. It was a huge pain!
