okay so good news is i was able to get my adhd medication in order again! unfortunately, i wasn't able to actually get the medication again until just yesterday so there still wasn't much that happened this week, but oh well i'll be able to make more progress again going forward

the motion in this clip isn't entirely done, namely there's no proper movement on the large character on the left yet, but this does show a concept i've been wanting to try out!! to make it more properly look like a shadow was casting over the scene, i darkened the main light while gradually powering on a light thats behind the paper which leaks through the bright background color to make the sky still look illuminated!!

most of this week has been sketching out ideas since thats something i very very easily get stuck on, but there has been animation progress made and the good news is that this style is totally feasible for an April release!!!! additionally, the song i've decided on is "They Might Be Giants - Nothing's Gonna Change My Clothes" which is sure a mouthful but it's easily one of my favorite TMBG songs which also happens to be one of the first I heard from them!

this past week has been a good bit unpleasant due to going through a bad relapse, which ended up in me realizing i really just wasn't enjoying working the "party on the moon" animation much at all for various personal reasons i wont get into, a notable one having me being not very artistically satisfied by it, but it's not all bad because it's lead into what you see above!
yesterday, i put a good bit of time into trying to make a much more realistic-looking version of that paper cutout...
(mostly) finished with that unfinished scene from last week!!

OKAY!! the past couple months have been rough as hell but i've Finally got my medications in order so i'm doing way better and i'm actually able to work again!! and hopefully, now that i've also Finally been medicated proper for ADHD for the first time ever, i can work a lot more effectively than i ever did, though it'd still likely take me some time to reach to that point since i still got a bit of healing to do after all that !!

working on the end of episode 1 has been fun!!! it just made me even more excited to work on episode 2 LOL since this ending has more character animation which episode 2 is entirely gonna be focused on .. plus the bunny in the second gif transitioned a bit into more of their episode 2 design which is way more fun to pose and animate for me than the episode 1 design

progress is going well!! suddenly got a big burst of motivation/confidence out of nowhere, which is unusual but very useful for this final stretch of the project! i'm set on finishing the rough animation this month, then finishing it up (color, shading, backgrounds, sound design, music) all next month to hopefully also release within October!
honestly im really unsure of what the response to the finished animation will even be LOL... and it'd probably take about 9-12 months to completel...

there's not really much to show this week in terms of animation since i ended up burning out a bit, so i took that time to do some necessary planning that's really gonna help going onwards!!! namely, i created animatics for most of the remaining unfinished animation
a majority of the animation as-is is now either animated or in animatic form, which gives me a fair length estimate of about 2 minutes and 30 seconds!

at this point i'm actually very unsure of how long this episode is gonna take to finish, and that's not even so much out of working slower than expected like usual! really, the episode is turning out longer than i expected, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, i'm just not huge on large gaps between uploads but oh well! overall that's something i shouldn't think about much, because all that time is necessary and being made the most of!
