These are a whimsical take on the Caltrop, the Fey glass inspired directly by the Christmas ornaments from Home Alone. That memory is just seared into the back of my child mind, barefeet and all.

A combination of a terribly interesting item, and a fascination with Countercharm.
After diving into the mechanics for the flute, I really wanted to incorporate this aspect into another concentration mechanic. The result is both a tinkerer item, and a very flavored bard instrument! Trading off a Bonus Action for a dual concentration, seemed right up the alley for a caster learning or support bard.

This is partially inspired by team-kills in Helldivers and a love of Ram Man, both of which will always be near and dear.
I always enjoy the heavier, tin can typed armors and this is a continuation of that. Designed with the intent of dropping into battles and foes to wreak havoc. I really enjoyed the take of someone just smashing into a scene. With the half damage dealt to the user, it should limit the amount of spam/abuse.

I really enjoy how a handful of ammunition can change the game, giving martial characters something that suddenly is so very useful but not infinite. These are a little ode to that.

As a monthly reminder all of this works because of you! Here is the first item of the week, the Twilight Axe. I had avoided floating blades due to the high end fantasy(near scifi) implications, but the ware mages staves had wetted my whistle.
Due to that, I dove into this design with the intent on having the flotation serve an actual purpose mechanically. This is the result, I hope you can tell which is the Waning and Full phases!

DId you know there was only one feat in the SRD? The Grappler. It gave me some flashbacks to NWN 3.5e where items would occasionally come with feats, and thus the Champion’s Belt was born!
Heavily influenced by the wrestler’s of my childhood, and some fantasy plating of the stalwart warriors of nordic fame. I really hope you like it, this was a fun piece to make just before leaving on the trip!

Keeping the light source and glow going, an interesting little knick-knack for non-casters and truth hunters. I also decided that maybe after 250 items, it would be okay to have two types of magic candles.
I rather enjoyed how it turned out and the dynamics it adds for lower level play. I honestly hope that it enhances some tactics or lands someone in a sticky situation. That’s peak for me as an Item creator.

I think almost everything this week can also be considered a light source as well as an item, accidental and entirely proud of that. Very happy with how these daggers turned out, falling into later level fun without being a typical modifier increase. I hope you like them as well.
