Our New Year's Resolution

Well this is easy…our resolution is to find the new boat! Obviously that's easier said than done. Deciding between a Catamaran and Monohaul is turning out to be more difficult than we thought. We're in luck though!

She carried her new family into the sunset today as they motored out of the marina...Headed for a journey of their own. That's wonderful and sad at the same time! 

We only showed her to one interested couple since posting her for sale in September, they are the ones that bought her. That wasn't due to lack of interest...We had a lot of inquiries! It had to do with us...

Update!

Hopefully I’m not putting my foot in my mouth but a future sale on the Lazy Gecko looks promising!! 

As you know, we're planning on selling the Lazy Gecko which is up on the hard in Key West, Florida. She's been sitting there very lonely, we've not been able to show her because of our travels to view other boats. 

We’ve had lots of inquiries, we were recently able to find a friend that is willing to show her! To add to that, she was viewed over the holiday weekend by a coup...

America's Cup!

Hello my lovely Patrons!

Last weekend we were lucky enough to hop onboard the Stars & Stripes, an America's Cup sailboat and take her for a 3 hour long sail! It was in San Diego and we sailed the bay. The weather was a little overcast but the winds were at about 12knts out of the north so it worked out perfectly!

Sailing Catalina Island!

Yesterday we sailed a 1970's Cross 39 trimaran (actually this one was a 42 because of an extension of the stern) around Catalina Island and it was awesome! 

The sailing around Catalina features spectacular views, beautiful wildlife and great winds! We were cruising in a light 10 knot wind all day, it was pretty perfect!

Update on the boat!

We've had so many calls and emails on the Lazy Gecko that it's crazy. I'd say about 4 of them are serious buyers looking to purchase a boat now. As you probably saw on the last video (Vimeo version), we've been holding off on showing her because of the uncertain market after Irma shook everything up. Last weekend we attended the Southern California Boat Show at Calibro Marina. This is near L.A., we were lucky enough to get a room right at the marina! This made getting back and forth pretty easy. This is only the 2nd year for the show, we didn't know how great it would be due to it's young age. We ended up being pleasantly surprised!   

The sail side was smaller than the Annapolis show but about the same as the Miami Boat show. The quality of boats made up for any shortage of boat...

What an awful tragedy. We hope that each of you, your family and your friends are all safe and were not involved in yesterdays shooting in Las Vegas.

We have family (brother, sister in law and nephew) and friends that live there, one friend is a police officer. He wasn't on duty last night, we're thankful none of them were involved. 

We are terribly saddened by this senseless act, it also makes us very angry. Again, we hope you and yours are ok and weren't effected by this coward.&n...

This episode makes me cry!! LOL...I'm a sucker for anything sentimental and this one touches my heart. :)
