We also surprisingly have a lot to say about Orson Welles via our mediocre impressions. Enjoy!

Patreon Exclusive Episode: Robin Hood - Men in Tights (1993)

Hey everyone, here's a bonus episode just for you! We discuss Mel Brooks' penultimate film, Robin Hood: Men in Tights and why we think the movie had such a bizarre impact on 90's kids. Even more bizarre though is how this movie came to be - it involves a dentist, Michael Jackson, scientology, and Kevin Costner. We go through the full story though, as well as stuff we didn't get to in our Silent Movie episode, the unmade Mel Brooks films, bad 90's parody movies, and what to expect on our next ...

Early Access: Episode 21 - A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014)

More like a million ways NOT to do a comedy movie, amirite folks?

Thanks for bearing with us during our unexpected hiatus between episodes. We're so glad to be back with our discussion on A Million Ways to Die in the West - now available exclusively to you on Patreon! While we surprisingly had a lot to say about the movie itself, we also used the opportunity to chat about the career of Seth MacFarlane, other comedy westerns that do this concept better, as well as the cinema of the...

Attack of the Westerns

Hey everyone, here’s the full list of films we plan on referencing for our upcoming episode(s) on Westerns. Ryan watched all of these in prep for this episode — 40 in total! A few of them I suggested, but most were ones he watched on his own. Any of you have favorites on this list? Let us know your thoughts!

Recording Update!

Hey everyone! Joe here. Just wanted to again apologize for the delay in episodes. Scheduling issues have just been preventing us from recording. April Updates

Hey everyone! Sorry it's been so long in between updates/shows. We each got unexpectedly busy with other projects this month, but we are planning to record next week. We're going to finally do our episode on "A Million Ways to Die in the West" which will probably end up being more a discussion on the proper way to do a Comedy Western. We've taken a look at a ton of Westerns, a lot of comedic ones, and have a lot to say on the genre. We're going to be talking about the more comedic Spaghetti W...

Patreon Exclusive: Sidetracks - Brain Donors (1992) & The Marx Brothers

Hey everyone, here's our second follow-up to our episode on Problem Child 1 & 2. We wanted to talk about the film that Dennis Dugan directed after Problem Child - Brain Donors. It's a loose remake/tribute to "A Night at the Opera" and the films of The Marx Brothers. We also chat a little bit about the Marx Brothers movies themselves, including their history and what we feel they did right and wrong, as well as the great Margaret Dumont.

Early Access: Episode 20 - Problem Child & Problem Child 2

Hey everyone, thanks for bearing with us in the delay on this episode. It was a huge undertaking to watch and talk about these two movies. We surprisingly had a lot to say on them both, including dissecting the films of the cast and crew that preceded and followed these two movies. Beyond that, we really dive into the logic and philosophy behind the comedy in the Problem Child movies and why they resonated with so many 90's kids. We kinda descend into madness towards the end of the episode, a...

Bonus Discussion: Sheetz vs. Wawa

Hey guys! Here's a quick digression that I cut out of our latest episode for timing purposes, but felt was worthy enough to share with you on Patreon. Ryan and I got into the heated debate affecting all Pennsylvanians, the convenience store war of Sheetz and Wawa. Which do you prefer?

Stay tuned for our Problem Child double-feature which we will be recorded soon. I got pretty sick last week so we had to postpone.

As this is a Christmas-themed movie, we didn't have a chance to give you early access for this episode. Script to Screen: Quick Change (1990) by Howard Franklin

Hey Patrons, here's something interesting I recently unearthed in the recesses of an old hard drive - the 2nd revision draft of the Bill Murray-helmed 'Quick Change'.  I believe our discussion on this movie may have been our first episode of 2021. Regardless, it's a movie we're both pretty fond of. This draft is dated 1987 and it's very interesting to see how the story continued to develop. Hope you enjoy!
