A kind viewer named Mike sent us some slugs I have seen before but could never find in the store. These are called DDupleks Kaviar slugs. Gregg and I test them out and try to figure out what exactly they would be used for.

Today we test out some slugs Ron calls "Excavators". A jacketed hollow point dum-dum slug is the best way I can describe these. They were tricky to get to function correctly but everything seemed to work out quite well at the end.

Evan Perry designed some slugs made out of porcelain. How well would this material work as a projectile? We find out today! We believe that a few of these had internal flaws/weak points that caused them to almost pulverize from the tremendous g-shock. Luckily a few worked great!

Kyle figured out how to contact me so he could arrange to send some of the coolest slugs to us. He calls these the "Mach-71" slugs as a tribute to the SR-71 jet. The design actually gives these slugs some surprising attributes such such as penetration and also expansion of the aerodynamic body. Today we test out the hottest new 9mm defense round, the Interceptor by Ballistic Machinist. This is a precision-machined bullet that has 27 mm of controlled expansion. We test these against a variety of different media with excellent results.

Today we test out the smallest and first .22 rimfire rounds ever made. Sometimes called .22 BB Cap, these use just the primer compound to propel them. It's actually rare to see these actually shot, I have yet to find a video showing anything but people talking about these rounds. It's easy to think these rounds are mere toys but they are still very deadly.

Today we test out the MT Round Ball from Goodell Shotshell Co. Normally lead round balls are a challenge to keep accurate because they tend to deform badly during acceleration. I had to try mitigate deformation using household materials.

Today we test out some new slugs from a company called "Gun Runners Arsenal" which is something from a video game called Fallout-New Vegas. Just between you and I, I have not vetted this company and know 100% sure if it is even a legit company. The loaded slugs are very cheap for something exotic like this, $15 for 6 of them. Potential buyers should use their own discretion, is what I am saying.

Wade Rush offered to send some of his .31 cal. Siamese-twin buckshot to us to experiment with. I only asked him to send about 30 of him, but Wade sent over 300 of them. I can appreciate all the work it took to make these for us. We'll try to come up with other ideas for these, practical or not.

We've gotten SO many requests to re-film cut-shells from our viewers. Yes, we read your comments, even the crazy ones. For something different we used some 50ish year old vintage shells which still functioned very well despite their age. (sort of like O.G. and me)

Today we test out a round that shoots 2 bullets at one time. This is the legendary duplex bullet found in the book "Forty Years of the 45-70". There was always a lot of speculation of how these functioned but finally we are able to see what happens using a Chronos high speed camera.

Every once in a while I am able to demonstrate my own oddball concepts. This idea, we take two clusters of buckshot and load them into a simple target shell. This makes for a very low recoil round but doesn't compromise velocity.

We have begun the tests of the slugs Goodell Shotshell Co. has sent to us. This is a 1 oz. slug with an agressive, sawtooth-like look to it. We test them through smooth (cylinder bore), rifled choke, and full-rifling. These might have a slight balance problem, which Ryan should be able to rectify.

Many viewers suggested we reload the remaining Super Sabots with different powders and wads. Instead of testing these in 93 deg. weather, we went to the extreme and tested these at 106 deg. What we were trying to do is figure out if the issues were with the heat, the powder, the plastic used in the wad or a combination of all three.

We finally got a day cool enough to film and not burn out my cameras. One of OG's viewers sent him these slugs a couple months ago and was pretty impatient for us to shoot them. He would email Gregg every week and Gregg would tell me about it. We have another strange and brilliant creation from Evan Perry to test today. Evan makes slugs out of very unusual objects which might sound easy. But the shape, the diameter and balance must be correct to make the slugs function correctly and accurately.
