It's been a bit since the last Codex and I decided to look at some people you might meet on the road while lost in the wilderness. I've always liked the idea of exploring and seeing new sights, of moving through ancient jungles and blazing trails. Of course, the idea of exploration is way more appealing to me than actually doing it. This Codex features NPCs who are great at surviving harsh environments, hunt wild game, and are defenders of nature and the natural world.

Taurok was my character in our last campaign, and he is one of my all time favorites. While my fellow party member may say I have embellished his role in the triumph, I stand by my words. Besides, Taurok is the only one that got a statue in his honor.

Talismans are a funny group of wondrous items since they are sort of a catchall for pins, amulets, brooches, stones, and many others. Definition of a talisman is an object that is thought to have magic powers and to bring good luck, so if you aren't sure what to call that strange new item the party found, just label it a talisman.
