I have a terrible time finding things on Patreon, since it's more of a chronological blog. The Collections feature helps, as does the search, but you kind of have to know what to search for.
It's also kind of hard to write documentation with the editor on this site. Outlines are limited, tables are problematic, etc. It's not that I don't like Patreon, but I would like to provide some things that are ...

I updated the Freelance Entertainer mod preview to fix a script error that appeared after a recent patch. There are some additional bug fixes as well.
Also, while it's not completed yet, I put together another website for my mods. I can never find anything on Patreon, lol, and it's kind of hard to create 'index'...

The KaBloom gardening cheat mod is updated to version 1.0.5. Someone mentioned that they had compatibility issues with another mod.
I wasn't able to replicate it, but did notice that the script was a bit old-fashioned, and the interaction relied on a debug buff that wasn't always applied. Finally, I fixed a potential error if you used this on a lot with wild sage nearby (wild s...

I spoke too soon about not having patch problems -- found one! And fixed it.
The Docents aren't showing up at the Museums since the 10/22 patch. My earlier fix seemed to clear up the exceptions I was seeing, but it wasn't working. I also switched to Better Exceptions for detecting these things, since it seems to catch ...

I was able to test my mods with the patch for a bit today, and didn't discover any errors or obvious problems. As always, let me know if you notice any issues with any of my mods!
Thanks for your support!

So, Happy Samhain to all who celebrate! It's the ancient Celtic New Years Eve as well, so time for some updates on the upcoming Druids mod preview.
I tried just about every possible way to implement a Druid class type of thing, and ended up settling on making it another type of Spellcaster. The main reason was for the UI on the right (where it shows your XP, level, etc).
I tried making...

I missed part of the fix in Family History 1.0.5, so I've released Family History 1.0.6 just now that takes care of it.
I've updated the original posts, but in case you grabbed it right away, you might want to make sure you got 1.0.6.
Thanks again for your feedback and support!

Here are some mod updates for Patch 1.10 today. The script errors thrown by these three mods should be fixed by these updates. I have not checked for functionality changes yet. Let me know if something doesn't work!

Happy Patch Day!
There's a Base Game patch due today, and it's hard to tell what it might break. For the first time, EA released the new tuning descriptions before the patch, which is great if it's their new practice. But it also makes me wonder about how much it might break, lol!
I took a look at the new tuning descriptions, and I don't see anything obvious that would...

So, I've been working hard on the Druid mod I mentioned a couple of months ago. Here's a peek at where things are at so far, and what I still want to get working before I give you a prerelease to try. None of this is super-polished yet.
As you can see in the image above, we have sickles! It's pre...

The Simsco Canning Factory Mod has an update to remove an inadvertent dependency on Island Living.
Last March, a Sims 4 patch created a hidden dependency between the mod's tuning files that put products in your sim's inventory and the Island Living pack. If you've had Island Living, you wouldn't ...

A few of my mods, such as the Archaeology Kit and Family History, suggest that certain regions are in distinct parts of the SimWorld.
When a new map comes out, I have to figure out where the new region is.* It will have a bearing on which artifacts you can find there, which ancestors come from there, etc.
So, which existing Sims 4 region is closest to Ciudad Enamorada?&n...

I just downloaded the latest patch, and once I removed a few mods by others that were throwing exceptions, I didn't get any errors from any of my mods. I checked a few features of a few of my mods, and they seemed to work correctly.
That isn't to say that I'm sure they all work correctly with the patch yet, but they don't seem to cause any obvious errors (right away). So it's probably 'safe' for now.
I will be able to do more testing with the patch later today a...

Hundreds of years before the dawn of history
Lived a strange race of people, the Druids.

So, I crossed a wild rabbit with a spellcaster's familiar, and look what I ended up with! I have these things flying all over the place now. I'm calling them Fae Creatures. They hatch from buried eggs that you can find (and of course, different t...

I listened to a lot of feedback I'd gotten about the Freelance Entertainer mod, in particular the gig goals, and reworked how the goals function during active gigs. There's basically a lot more to do, and some extra bonuses for doing certain interactions, such as bonuses to streaming followers or additional fame.
Also, changed the requirements for getting a Festival or Comedy TV special gig so...

I made some important changes to the Family History mod in this build, and I'm even happier with it than I've been so far.
The biggest change is that all of the Notable and Legendary ancestors now have ancestral homes! That means that in order to find a connection to one of them, you'll need to find ancestors in that region first.
This solves kind of a logical problem that had been bothering me...

While none of my mods threw errors after the last patch, some parts of some of them developed dependencies on various packs that may have had nothing to do with the mod, due to the Group ID meaning change in the patch.
This update fixes an issue where certain parts of the Archaeology Kit may have stopped working after the patch if you didn't have Batuu installed.

I've tested my mods against the latest patch, and they don't cause any exceptions. I have not had the chance to go through all of the functionality of all of my mods yet, so if you run into something that doesn't work, let me know. They don't seem to blow anything up, though. :D
There were a lot of other mods that did break from the two patches this week, so check your larger script mods for updates (WW, Basemental, MCCC, UI Cheats, etc).
Thanks for your support!<...

Bug Fixes
I recently discovered that a tool that I use to build mods (the incredibly useful S4TK library) had been suffering from a bug that caused some tuning data to get compiled incorrectly in certain edge cases, causing it to be ignored by the game. After updating my tools, it turns out that there were a number of features of this mod that I'...

Research progress balanced out better. The more traits you discover, the harder it will be to find more of them. This makes it even more similar to the research features in the Scientist career.

I was going over this mod after the last patch to get it ready for public release, and it seemed like it was taking a lot longer than an hour before one of the 'Perform Set' goals would mark as being done, even though they are set to only require playing an instrument or doing comedy for an hour (in the 'SituationGoalInteractionTime' tuning for it). Sometimes it would take 1.5 hours, other times as ...

I've been irritated at how hard it is to incorporate Juice Fizzes and Seltzers into game play. Like, why can't you order one at a bar?
If you want to run a retail store that sells Juice Fizzes, it's pretty hard to manage unless you craft everything yourself. If you place them out of Build/Buy, the packages are empty, etc, since they need the crafting process to make them usable.
And to b...
