The Freelance Entertainer mod adds an active-gig type Freelance career to the Sims 4. All active gigs are actually gigs — you perform shows at Lounges, wedding receptions, music festivals and more.
The jobs available are based somewhat on performance skills and largely on your sim’s fame. Unknown performers have to pull morning shifts, while famous players headline on the weekends. In addit...

This was kind of fun, and made it easier to get around Sixam.
How to be a Space Cowboy
1. Install the Hitchhiker's Guide to Sixam mod, available on this website.
2. Select 'Hitch a Ride With...', and select ...

I haven't dug into and tested all of the functionality of all of my mods after the patch, but these updates fix the 'aventure_moment' => 'adventure_moment' tuning change from that patch. I will repost these on their respective pages, but wanted to get them here as soon as possible.
If you're using the Tuning Error Notifier mod, you've see warnings about these since the patch. Otherwise, only Mine Crafting's functionality was affected by it (the Explore interactions, Gnome city,...

I have a few new downloads nearly ready, but I'm waiting to check them out after the patch today before releasing them.
The Lounge Entertainer freelance career is nearly ready for preview, finally. I added another Music Festival for high level entertainers, The Newcrest Jazz Festival. This is in addition to Burning Sim in Oasis Springs.
I have another one that I worked on for most of my v...

Mine Crafting enables your sim to build mines and extract either metals or crystals from them. It adds the Mineralogy skill that allows your sim to smelt valuable purified metal ingots from several pieces of metal at the Mineral Smelting Station, as well as cut gems from crystals on the Archaeology table.
The Mineralogy Skill provides levels 1 - 5, so it'...

I couldn't get yesterday's patch downloaded until this morning, but I took a spin through as many of my mods as I could, and everything seemed to work. From what I've seen it was a fairly non-disruptive patch.
Otherwise, I have a small pile of updates to get posted here. It's been a difficult month around here, but I have managed to get some things polished up, some bugs fixed and some ad...

I posted some updates to two public releases, and one that is still a Patreon work in progress.
Public

The Apothecary Kit adds the Pharmacology Skill, which enables your Sim to make packages of herbal gummies and bottles of serum tablets based on Herbalism Potions from Outdoor Living, and Chemistry Lab Serums from Get To Work (so you need both packs for this mod to work).
You can make herbal gummies and serum tablets on the Pha...

The Wild Bug Ranch enables you to breed wild bugs that you find, such as Butterflies and Ladybugs, so that you can have more of them available for recipes for Magical and Herbalism Potions and Serums.
To 'grow bugs', place the wild bugs you've found inside the inventory of the Wild Bug Ranch, either by dragging and dropping them on top of it or into the open Inventory window, or using the

Working on a Wild Insect Farm to fix that.
The idea is that you find wild bugs and put them inside the farm (like an aquarium), then every so often (TBD...) it clones some of the bugs inside to 'breed' them.
I like the fact that you still have to find the bugs. I'm not sure how many bugs it should create, but probably at least daily. They aren't worth much on their own, but th...

Update for the nearly-ready-to-release Apothecary Kit that includes a number of bug fixes, and fancy new labels on the serum tablet bottles!
Also, I gave the tablet bottles the same footprint as the bags of herbal gummies, so you can put far more of them on retail shelves and other surfaces.

So, I'm taking a look around the new pack, looking at the climate, the surroundings, architecture, etc. I'm trying to figure out where on the sims 'map' this would go? What regions is it near? It's theoretically 'San Francisco', which in my head canon (and the Archaeology Kit) would place it north of Del Sol Valley.
What sort of Archaeology Kit artifacts should be found in San Sequoia? De...

A side note: Did you know that the Stable Diffusion AI sort of knows how to generate Sims 4-like Screenshots? The picture is what it thinks a "house in flames, fully engulfed, panicking, as sims 4 screenshot" looks like. I didn't boost the quality, etc, but it's not too bad.
In any case, the Patch to Add Infan...

I've been working all month on an update for Better Bars and Liquor Stores that I want to add before it's ready to release. I almost had it ready this weekend, but then I broke Cranerlet Nuala grapes, and noticed that basement aging wasn't working correctly. Yet.
New features that I've added (and am trying to get working correctly) are all about Crafting! (of course...lol).
Instead of add...

I've been irritated at how hard it is to incorporate Juice Fizzes and Seltzers into game play. Like, why can't you order one at a bar?
If you want to run a retail store that sells Juice Fizzes, it's pretty hard to manage unless you craft everything yourself. If you place them out of Build/Buy, the packages are empty, etc, since they need the crafting process to make them usable.

If you have the Sims 4: Cool Kitchen Stuff pack, you've probably used the Ice Cream Maker (it's kind of the main point of the pack, I suppose). It's also meant for players irritated by the long standing Sims bug where your garden decides to reset itself into di...

Just an update and feedback gathering post! I've been making some gameplay adjustments to mining, played with it a bit, and this is where it's at so far.
