September 7th Progress Update

I worked on the bosses for The Depths and now have their sprites, battler images, etc.. I also finished their stats up in-game and fixed up their group fights. Still need to make levels 2 & 3, but it's nice to have the statistical stuff out of the way. :)

Edit: I just finished the level designs for Depths 2 & 3. Everything's placed.
Now I just need to add a few secret rooms, all 3 boss rooms (and set those up properly), and the Depths will be finished!

September 6th Progress Update

I worked a lot on The Depths creatures tonight. All their stats are done, and their groups set up. Just a few more steps and I can begin to populate the 3 maps with them (speaking of which, I should probably make the other 2 maps also).

September 5th Progress Update

I finished up the enemies for Caverns levels 7 & 8, and also polished up one from the previous levels a bit. The enemies are all now placed as well. I think the only thing left is the battle background.

Until I decide what to do about the "losing to enemies" animation, new enemies will be using the "lose to titans" system, where Sienna basically teleports home and loses 25 tranquility. This system will remain for enemies that are (for whatever reason) sexually incompatible. I'd also ...

September 4th Progress Update

I was working on the 7th and 8th Caverns bosses and noticed the 6th level boss needed a few tweaks. While I haven't actually tested any of them, they should all be good to go. I do still need to add common enemies for levels 7 & 8 before The Caverns are 100% completed.

September 2nd Progress Update

Adivia's 2 quests are now complete! I also added the nodes to her skill tree that are unlocked by doing her 2nd quest (as well as those for Clarinda and Marissa, which I hadn't done yet). I also fixed Adivia's special event that had been mess up and updated Sienna's portraits for that.

So that means all the kids are now fully updated. Woot! There are still a couple things I need...

August 30th Progress Update

I decided it would be a good time to start working on the kids' stuff, so I fixed up Nadie's dialogue and added her 2nd (which is also her last) quest. I also added her final outfit upgrade, which will require some new ingredients (one being Fairy Dust), as well as 5 greater experium. It's a pretty hefty upgrade, so it's well worth it. :)

August 29th Progress Update

Good morning! I just finished up 9 common events for the other girls that will be helping Sienna with the whoring. Now to wrap things up by completing the other features of the whoring system (upgrades and traits, mostly). 

Edit: I finished checking out the traits and those were mostly finished already. I think I also found the reason why whoring would inexplicably just "exit" with no explanation. Will test and see.

August 26th Progress Update

Couldn't sleep. Didn't feel cognitive enough to work on anything important so I collected all the enemy sprites for Caverns levels 7 & 8. This will be the last 2 levels of it. I've always intended on it being a place to primarily get your stained glass shards, with optional bosses.

I'm not sure if I'll have the last level lead anywhere else. Probably just end it there, considering all the freezing darkness you have to go through to get there. The final 2 bosses should be very rewardin...

August 25th Progress Update 2

I just finished the event for the red acid upgrade. Wrapping things up for it was a little more complicated than I thought (I had to replay the event a few times and make corrections regarding event facing, player position at the end, etc..). It's all finished now though. If I make anymore changes to it, then it would probably be slight tweaking and balancing during a future playthrough.

August 25th Progress Update

Well I worked on the new event some more (the Red Acid upgrade), and it's almost finished now. I just need to wrap up the "after" dialogue, and restore the player party to the default setup, etc..

There will be 2 possible ways you can get the red acid, depending on your previous decisions. One way is easy (you just go get it). The other way will require some traipsing back and forth, but is more satisfying in the end. I still need to work on the "easy" way. Maybe I can finish that up tom...

I fixed the Tower doc/jenn "skip event" issues. There's a slight visual issue, but at least it won't result in any player grief.

August 22nd Progress Update

I just finished up the working concept for the new Tranquility system. Entering and exiting from there all seems to be working properly. There are some minor things like battle background and music selection that still need doing, but those are easy enough.

While testing all this out I noticed some issues with the "skip event", during the nightly dr. visits. Basically skipping one part and then letting the other play, and vice versa, can cause some issues currently. I'll be fixing that n...

I worked on the tranquility stuff a bit this morning. I'm going to be using a concept that I had way back in the early days of FSA, when I wanted to have random dungeon levels. I've learned so much since then, and I'm still learning new stuff.

August 20th Progress Update

Well it was long overdue, but I finally got around to adding monsters to The Caverns levels 5 & 6. I used a recolor of one monster and for the other group reused the ice drake (with another type of drake, which is kinda like fighting 2 mini-bosses at once), but they  work well, I think. Level 6 still needs a boss. Maybe I can think of one later today, or just use 2 previous bosses. x]

I worked on the new boss a little, adding the background for the fight and making sure everything worked properly. There was a slight error with his graphic but I just had a wrong number in there.

August 14th Progress Update

A while back someone asked if I could prevent enemies from running if they are asleep (or otherwise incapacitated). Well I couldn't manage that, or at least it's not something that could be easily done. The action is forced whenever primary enemies are defeated, so I would pretty much have to put in a condition for each state that would prevent the enemy from running. Well I certainly did not want to do that, so I've changed how minions and inactive enemies function.

Well my favorite cat is having some trouble (again). Hopefully we can take him to the vet tomorrow but it really stresses him out (he REALLY hates the vet).

August 12th Progress Update

I worked on the new event a bit more, replacing the entrances such that it's blocked off by a level 3 acid-meltable door instead of a level 1 acid-meltable door. I've also thought of a way to get the player to actually go there right away (unless you don't want to be able to melt level 3 acid-meltable doors, but you probably do!).

August 11th Progress Update

Couldn't sleep. Time to work!... Well I did spend a little time on youtube first. xP  Anyways, I finished replacing Sienna & Jenn's portraits in The Tower night events, so that's done now. There's still a bunch of other dialogue spots there. I'll probably take care of all those inside The Tower first, and then wait on Kendra's portraits to do the rest.
