Rape to be removed as a gameplay mechanic

Hey everyone! Well Patreon feels that rape as a gameplay mechanic can be fetishized, so I'll need to remove it from failed combat in future versions. 

Rape in the story segments (several instances in The Tower, the kidnapping event, that rapist in Kendra's palce, etc..) should be fine, but I'll ask if these changes will be enough to satisfy their guidelines. I have seen in their guidelines that a project with content such as that found in Game of Thrones would be OK.

Reported for glorification of rape?

Well that's a hassle. I'll try to get the confusion cleared up. I believe someone passing by must have seen the prostitution images and combined them with the description of rape events in my planned features.

A New Tier! (and stuff)

I think I should reward patrons that have been around a while, so I've decided on a few changes. Namely I've changed the $1, $10, and added a new $30 tier to make things more interesting. I'll change the $3 and $5 tiers as well, soon-ish. (mostly to make them look prettier, hah)

First Whoring Image

Happy (belated) Thanksgiving!

Things have been a bit hectic here lately, especially since I'm forever trying to organize my room and all the junk I've collected over the years. But anyways, Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone had a nice holiday and plenty to eat. :)

Whoring Update

I've got the new whoring system implemented and replacing the old curtain in The Tower now. It's still a bit rough and needs a lot of work concerning information in the menu.

I also need to eliminate some text, as there is a paragraph before this one that tells the player what type of sex the customer wanted, whether Sienna allowed that, and then tells that they accepted what Sienna had to offer. Whoring System Progress

The system is set up pretty good but is currently a series of common events. There's no in-game event accessing them, but that shouldn't be too difficult to take care of.

I believe I have all the STDs (about 10, I think) fully implemented and working now. Currently you can only get them while whoring. I'm not sure if that should change or not.

A few aesthetic changes

I'll be changing Infections and Disease to Toxins and Fatigue. This won't change how they work. I felt this change was necessary while working on the new whoring system namely because there could be conflicts when talking about disease and STD's. Also, changing Infections to Toxins allows it to have more use as well. Toxic air, water, enemy attacks, etc..

Risks of Whoring

I don't want to include any real-world STDs in FSA, as it is a different world. There's a number of other reasons and Sienna could also be immune to them. With that said, the "problems" she will get from whoring will be more of a psychological or fairy thing. Like she might get cooties if her integrity is positive, or get a digestive issue from oral sex (such as needing to eat or drink more).

Just a bit further!

With replacing the debris events I have finally reached The Crypts! Every other area in the game is now updated with the new debris events. The end is finally within sight now. :D  Thankfully The Crypts have a lot of repetition as far as debris goes and I can copy/paste more frequently, without having to change the event's image every time.

Outfit (system) Overhaul

I'll plan on overhauling how the outfits work. Currently the system I'm using is just too bulky. I want to change it such that an entire outfit is simply 1 item. This means you won't have the ability to play with the paper doll system anymore, but you will have the option of equipping the outfit as an item, which will show up on Sienna's in-game sprite AND on her paper doll in the menu.

More Event Replacement, and Stuff

Hey everyone. Sorry progress is so slow. I'm still working on replacing all the debris events in the game with versions that can be picked up for organic material. I finished replacing all of them in The Vinery (including Blackwood and Manor sub areas) and I'm now working on replacing all those in The Dungeon.

Overhaul Progress

Sorry things are progressing slowly. Anyway, I've just finished replacing all the resource entities in the tutorial levels. All tutorial boxes should no longer "half close" while they're being broken down for wood. All banded iron rocks there use a somewhat updated system wherein I can now locate them more easily in the editor, they break faster (no jump animation), and the notification of what you just got is immediate (no text delay). Plus, time is paused while the text is on-screen.

Clutter = Organic Material?

Remember the cracked skulls, bones, and other tidbits of trash laying around the various levels? 

It would take a while, but since I'm going through all the levels to do the overhaul anyway it's not a big deal. 

Anyway, I'm thinking about allowing players to pick them up as Organic Material. They could all always just give +1 organic material, regardless of her transmute skill, but I could also base it off of her skill.

Tool Upgrades

It's not as much of a complaint now that sprites can be equipped in a different slot (of course I didn't convert them all, but that will change in the next release), but players have complained before about the necessity of equipping the various tools. 

Well, I want to change this, but not entirely.

Every type of tool will have an upgrade later on in the game, and since I'm doing an overhaul anyway, I've decided that the tool upgrades will bypass the need to have said tool equippe...

Starting the overhaul!

First step? Mushrooms! For the sake of simplicity I have decided to eliminate all the resource costs of picking mushrooms.

At first I was going to have it that you merely bump into them and Sienna automatically picks them, but it just doesn't feel right. So you'll still need to press the action button. She will no longer struggle or go back a step, and it's now much faster (and therefore more fun) to pick mushrooms. :)

Overhaul/Quality Control or Story Progression?

I'm a little torn at the moment. Of course I will be getting new sprites from Bebecake on a (approximately) monthly basis, which will improve the look of the characters in the game.

New portraits are something I would like too, especially for those characters that don't have any yet, or are currently using my sad placeholders.

Well that's stuff I'm hiring others to do. What should "I" be working on? There's a variety of things that should happen, but I would like your input.
