Naturally, I chose the gayest title I could think of for this AU, lol.

I can't wait to show you what I have drawn for this already. :) It'll be different from the main story, it won't be a story that follows a coherent plot, more like snippets taken from their daily lives, situations they find themselves in, things like that. 

I'll also probably be playing around with style and layout a bit, to shake things up a little every once in a while x)

Happy Ace Awareness Week!

I was reminded by Talk all the Talk that it's ace awareness week and that maybe something related to that with Emma would be a cool idea for Sunday's stream! And I absolutely loved the idea but I also wanted to draw something while the week was still happening and not pretty much over, so I doodled this just now inbetween comic pages!

I recorded the process too, maybe I can post a Speedpaint video at some point again :') Perhaps with some actual explanations on what the heck I'm actually doing...

Chapter 3 Postscript WIP

I'm 90% finished writing the plot outline for the rest of the story, it's probably going to be 3 more chapters, perhaps 4, which means MUTED will most likely be running for at least another year! When I thought about the end I had very mixed feelings, because the thought of saying goodbye to Kai and Jasper at some point feels very strange, when that day comes, they'll be my first children who ...

Right now I'm still sitting in the middle of a hundred sheets of paper with ideas and snippets and research notes and my next step is trying to get all of that in order to set up a final timeline for the events that are yet to come.

Two very quick and loose ink drawings of Emma and Misha in an attempt to slowly catch up with Inktober! 

Both are done with G-pen and feature what I like drawing most: faces, flowy long hair, and pearl strings ??? Also vague sketchy plants/flowers in combination with all of the above, haha.

MUTED: 096-106 (chapter 3 end)

before we begin... i'm 100% sure i don't really need to address it here, because you guys get it, but whenever characters use words like "speak/talk/say" about or with kai, that doesn't mean they want him to physically open his mouth and make sounds, everyone is well aware that's not going to happen! from what i experienced myself and from talking to a very kind  !! reader who's deaf and was open to answering some questions for me, i gathered it's simply more common to still use these words...

another exercise with ink and pen!! i used a different nib this time, because i remembered that g-pen is apparently a little easier control than the maru pen, which i actually prefer because the nib is much thinner!

today the result turned out a little more like i wanted, i felt less afraid while drawing, too.

the boys, one year later

for the upcoming pages, i'm going to use two panels from the very beginning of the story! from the very, very first page i ever drew, actually! i even streamed that back then, it was august 22nd 2017 :'3 so the black/white page you're seeing up there is a little over a year old, wtf!! time flies so quickly....

this is a little late, because i spontaneously left the house for a bit last night and thus didn't draw as much as i'd planned 👀 but i'm back on track and tomorrow's piece is already good to go as well and scheduled for 1am!

since the whole underwater thing will be topic in the upcoming pages, i wanted to draw kai like this for inktober, too. it seemed like a "fun" motif. i wanted to decorate him with some plants or flowers so i goodled "flowers that grow underwater" and ended up with this ...

i got too excited about inktober so i already did the first drawing to try and see if i still remember how to ink....!
