Miss Kim Rub Portrait - In Progress

A lot of progress on this one as I wanted to get the portrait part right before posting.

Here's a portrait (in progress) of the lovely Miss Kim Rub (misskimrub.com) who I've gotten to know recently.

Miss Kim was kind enough to purchase a print of Queen Takes Pawn and got in touch with me to arrange getting the p...

Salome

And finished!

An enjoyable (and relatively) quick paint here  - glad that I revised the background, and rather enjoyed painting Salome's helpless companion, playing with the blue lit palette (because as you know I instinctively lean on richer reds) and throwing in the overhead light leaks.

Decided to pop in a drone-y heavy rubber alternative too.

All good fun - started with a momentary image bubbling up in my mind during a meditation and realised in a few days after tha...

Salome - Background

A little lunchtime update - so, as I said in the last update, I wasn't happy with the background, so I've been in, reworked it and decided it could do with a helpless drone...

Time this evening, to start on the main part of the painting.

Salome - Sketch, Ink, Flats

So I got 'visited' by this vision while meditating the other week and I had to draw her.  Here's everything up to the flats stage (for a change a pic without a gazillion characters, props and other elements in!).  Just realised as I'm posting this that the background I've drawn is a bit close to that I drew for 'Hot Waxxx' so I might revisit before I dive in on paint.

Hope everyone's having a great Sunday.

Connections

And here we are - the final takes on this painting - with a heavy rubber variant and 'uncensored' one.

Based on an image that bubbled up in my head while meditating I'd always seen this piece bathed in red light, which meant I could greyscale the majority of the background and layer in the colour later. The results of the poll showing a desire for drones pushed me gently into putting those MSA masks onto the 'patients' (thanks for that guys - it'll be fun to explore those more in future...

Connections - Progress

More progress on the painting - Matron is now more complete and I'm working my way to paint the assistants in back.  Figuring I'll paint the characters whose colourways I know I want and then layering in the rest of the lighting later (I have always thought this scene should be heavily bathed in red.)

Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Connections - Progress

Had the chance to do quite a bit of painting today, so worked up the background - currently in greyscale as I'm thinking of flooding the scene in a red light (which is the way the idea popped up in my imagination.)

Next up - painting up the drone ladies...

Connections - Flats

Having a productive weekend and able to spend some more time painting than I'd expected to be able to.

Here's the 'flats' process completed - where I've isolated each part of the picture (characters, background, various layers of props) and then coloured them in with big, flat blocks of colour.  Then, I've broken those down into more layers of clothing, etc so I can lock the transparency on each layer, and, say paint over all of those props on the bookshelves without painting over ...

Connections - Final Sketch

Here's the final sketch - nice and clean lines and finished anatomy - time to start painting all the flats and layers!

(And thanks to your poll votes, you'll see I've switched in those MSA Millennium masks to make our patients a lot more drone-y)

Connections - Sketch

Happy Friday everyone

Once again I think I've drawn a scene in which I'm trying to pack in more detail and features than I should.  I was meditating last weekend and my mind drifted and bubbled up this scene in my head.  So I've spent a bunch of time sketching it - holding me up a little was the outfits so I did a bunch of rough sketches and drafts until it felt right.

(And maybe reading the poll results, I think I might just have to adjust and make our patients a little...

Poll: so...what's everyone into?

Oooo...I've just discovered the poll feature - let's give it a try - what are your favourite subjects that you'd like to see more of?

Feel free to drop in a comment if I've missed something entirely or if you like more than one of these - I'd love to hear from you!

And finally finished.

Decided to throw in a heavy rubber variant and thought it wise for Instagram to do versions without the restraints to be sure.

As with all of my paintings, feel free to project your imagination into any part of this scene!

The Discovery - In Progress

Happy Sunday, everyone!

Here's where we are right now - working in greyscale as I'm not 100% clear on how I'm going to light this piece, so concentrating on what I know and building the painting up, letting the journey of painting it lead me to work out how I want the colours to go.

Also, writing an interview piece for the upcoming magazine piece.

Hope everything is well for you

Take care and stay shiny!

The Discovery - Flats

A quickie post from me - all the individual bits have been flat coloured, so I get to do the fun bit.  I'm still finding a good method for getting these done quickly - Clip Studio has a bunch of tools to make it faster, but there's still a lot of noodling to make sure each element is cleanly assigned a flat colour. Unpicking the bondage frame device was much fiddlier than it needed to be.

Have a good one, people!

Very Quick Update

Pleased to say my art is getting out into the real world.

I've submitted my art for its first public showing and gotten it accepted - just waiting for the vagaries of pandemic restrictions to confirm where and when it is going to be displayed, but once I know, I'll let you know.

And - my art's going to be featured in a fetish magazine - I've just received contact about the piece and am pulling together imagery the moment I've finished this quick post.  Again - as soon as I ha...

Arachne

And she's done!

This was an interesting piece to do, not least because I wanted to make it uplit, dark and moody but also how to depict all that shiny black latex and tubing enough that it can be read by the eye, but not too much to destroy the mood.

Anyways, this is something my mind invented while I was meditating some time ago and I just had to paint. Don't know how you'd actually get up there, but it looks like a fun predicament to be in...

Arachne - In Progress

Sadly, going away for New Year threw me off a little as I wanted to get more images painted.

Here's a midway update on 'Arachne' - working from back to front, as usual - I suspect there'll be a lot of balancing on this one as I want the suspended figure to be uplit, yet in-shadow, but I still want enough detail to show on them...

Going to be a bit of a balancing act.

Happy New Year

A quick post to wish all you very kind people a very Happy New Year and once again thank you for your support.

Here's a look at my Top 9 posts on Instagram - I see a theme, it looks very rubbery and very sexy so I'll do my best to follow the trend in the New Year.

I have been away for a New Year mini-break but am still working on 'Arachne' - I'll post soon with an update.  And pleased to say that things are already moving with regards to my first-ever public exhibition of any...

Arachne - Sketch

Quite a loose sketch for this one - sometimes I find a piece will just fly off my stylus, other times I have to get in and get very detailed and particular - I don't know why - I just go with what feels right.

In the light of the fact that I'm now painting for a bunch of known print sizes I've upped the resolution on my paintings so they'll hold up better on a 50cm x 70cm print and also dropped in a guide frame that allows me to compose the images for the smaller, narrower prints that w...

Thank You, 2021

Sharing with you this fun little video I put together for social media to say thank you to all of my followers and showcasing a whole heap of my paintings from this wild 8 months. (I discovered that the CapCut video app had a real cool 3D zoom effect and have been wanting to play with it for a while - so pleased to see that, in the main it creates some cool pseudo-3D effects with my paintings.)

I've finally finished IRL work for the year but have been busy doing a bit of housekeep...

Intimacy

And we're done!

With this one, I just wanted to create a simple piece that showed a literal physical as well as an emotional connection.  (Pondered making some variations but the more I thought about it, the more I realised that by adding more elements such as blindfolds or removing the masks it detracted from the point of the piece.)

The piece proved to be actually a little more complex to execute than I thought it would - lots of overlapping elements in that middle ground m...

3xL - Just When I Thought It Couldn't Get Any Cooler

I got contacted by 3xL today - he's only written a feature on my work for his blog: https://www.lustlovelatex.com/14/phetishskins-dreams-of-the-latex-fetish-bizarre/

If you don't know who 3xL is, hop over to his blog. He's been writing it since 2002 and I must say, over the years it's been a source of inspiration and another of those places on the web where I'v...

Intimacy - Flats

Well, considering that I intended to paint a simpler, more intimate piece, when it came to cleaning up the sketch and colouring the various flat colour layers it turned out to be a surprisingly more complex scene than I'd first thought.

Anyway - all the individual layers of the painting are split up, so "all" I have to do is dive in and start painting, knowing that I'm not going to 'go outside the lines'.

In my previous IRL life projects I've attempted various methods of painting ...

The Dressing Room

Thanks for bearing with me - painting on this piece finally got to its logical conclusion and so it's now time to share everything with you.

I'll be posting more censored versions on other places, but here are the paintings as I'd prefer you all to see them.

I've had a dream/fantasy of being able to enter this room with The Seamstress - a compassionate and highly intelligent woman with a closet full of fantasies. So when I decided to paint her I realised that I'd like to ent...

The Dressing Room - snapshot

Just a super quick snap from my phone as I finish this one up - there are going to be lots of variants of this one (just trying to tell myself to stop as it's real fun playing dress-up) - nurses, prosthetics, gasmasks. transparent latex and an interesting technical challenge for me to draw everything from two angles...

Hope you're having a great start to the weekend

(Next painting will be quicker and technically simpler - I promise!)

The Dressing Room - Progress

I really dislike painting backgrounds.  I think it's because I'd be rather drawing princesses, beautiful sexy outfits and bizarre pieces of equipment.

But I want to create scenes and stories in my works and for myself it feels a bit of a personal cop out by just painting a character and putting in a wishy-washy background in as an afterthought. (Don't get me wrong, there are stacks of amazing artists out there that just paint characters and they produce incredible works, but to me,...

Happy Thanksgiving

We don't have Thanksgiving in the UK, but I still have a lot to be thankful for.

Diving into my art this year so fully has helped give me a place to go that's not constant news reports or reminders of the collective madness that most of the developed world is going through right now.  And, by making this profile anonymous it has allowed me to express myself in ways I'd previously felt unable to do as well as allowing my art to stand by itself and be judged on its own merits,...
