Hey guys
thanks for sticking with me and sending me some cool suggestions for 'The Dressing Room'.
Now that I'm getting more familiar with how I'm working here with my Patreon I'd like to simplify things down to a single tier so everyone will get to see all the work-in-progress posts and get chance to comment and chat as my paintings come together.
So I'm hoping this weekend to give you all a Thanksgiving Bonus by removing the higher tier and giving you access to all my pre...

Somewhere in my personal canon there's a dressing room attended by a Seamstress who has access to a variety of costumes, outfits, prosthetics, wigs, makeup and equipment.
So I decided to draw the scenario, and play 'dress up' within it. It's been so far a great technical exercise to draw a mirror version of everything. But I kinda got carried away with what exactly to decide on for dressing up...and I asked my lovely supporters for inspiration too.
...which means that there'...

Months ago just after having started this project I asked my wife for a suggestive-but-open-to-interpretation drawing prompt.
She simply said "Hot Wax".
That stumped me.
I couldn't work it out. I didn't want to paint something too literal or obvious. Asking for an alternative prompt would be a failure and I promised myself I would honour the suggestion, even if it might take some time.
So I sat on it and moved ahead and painted many other works.
Then just a...

After the huge undertaking that was the last commission, I decided to just dive in and paint some latex mermaids. (And I'll admit there's a little inspiration from Michael Manning's excellent 1996 graphic novel Hydrophidian in there.) I think I had as much fun designing and painting the characters in the background scene as I did the girls in the tank, so I may sometime have to revisit those ladies and tell their stories.
Hope you enjoy. Only one variation on this piece as I...

I'm working back-to-front on the current piece and was struck by the stories I'm telling in the background of the piece - they're not the focus of the painting and will likely be a little obscured by the water in the tank but I had so much fun painting them I thought I'd share. Maybe I'll visit their stories later some time.
I'm finding that I'm putting more into the background by way of challenging myself - I'm not content with simply painting a character on their own, I want to challe...

Finally I get to share this piece with you.
Earlier this month Neon_Noir got in touch to commission this piece - a host of vintage latex nurses prepping to inflict some devious torment on a helpless rubber-clad superhero.
This was a very detailed brief with a lot of specific requirements and required a LOT of planning before I could get to painting. And there were a few revisions and additions towards the end as I got everything balanced.
I decided to paint this piece ...

While I'm still waiting to wrap on my most recent commission, I decided to start on a new painting for myself (and all of you shiny people) - "Sirens"
I've wanted to do a take on a mermaid (and also inspired by Michael Manning's "Hydrophidian" graphic novel - if you can find a copy, buy it) and also do some more couture latex illustrations. So, that's what I decided to do.
Time to start painting in the flats on this one and hope I can publish the final piece of the las...

Many apologies for not posting for a while but I've been very busy painting this BEAST of a painting for Neon_Noir.
The requirements were very specific and while they didn't quite include a cast of thousands, there were a lot of latex vintage nurse costumes to paint and a lot of planning in the environment and how to arrange every idea they wanted to incorporate in the scene.
Unusually I suggested paint the scene in landscape and a16:9 widescreen aspect ratio since my cli...

So I had a few hours free while chatting to my latest client about their commission (and also the reference link they'd sent didn't work) so I decided to dive in and paint Mistress Sidonia.
It's been a quiet but wet weekend here in the UK so I found I worked through the painting pretty quickly, powered by a combination of coffee & Netflix. (So apologies for no WIP posts - this was sketched and painted within a few hours and I simply forgot!)
I've sent the lady herself a ...

Hey everyone
so delighted with the reception of 'Baby Doll' - lovely to see how everyone has responded to her and I'm looking forward to exploring more layers of billowing, frilly transparent latex in a future painting as a result.
Decided to drop you a bit of an update because some cool things have just happened and set the course for my next two works...
Yesterday evening I discovered that Mi...

These are a couple more of the WIP steps on Baby Doll. Having finished the main figure I painted up the various versions of head gear and breast coverings (as I always have to think of Instagram.)
With that done, I jumped into the background with the nurses, and then the arrangement of masks.
After that it was fairly straightforward to block in the bed and then the background behind, with a final balancing pass on the lighting.
As I'm refining my process I'm always tor...

I decided to have a go at painting a multi-layered transparent latex outfit, so I came up with Baby Doll. My process ended up seeing me paint each individual layer of clothing on a separate layer in Clip Studio, working from inside out so that the effect of multiple layers of transparency would stack up.
I also decided to see how much kink and fun equipment I could pack into the scene, including some Beamiersch mas...

As this painting is about lots of layers of transparent latex I decided to structure my flat colour layers for each item of clothing so I could work from the inside out with the painting. So I began with a nude layer, and then layers on top for each item of clothing.
Then working through painting her, I began doing an all-over naked portrait of her, then painted a layer on top of that for her catsuit & mask, then her bloomers & bonnet and so on. Because some of her c...

I wanted to do a quick little painting after the complex commission of Mistress Michelle Lacy and a weekend of putting together a website. So, I thought I'd create a simple composition and go for it.
I fancied also giving myself the challenge of painting lots of transparent latex with plenty of frills.
So I started sketching and with our Baby Doll drawn decided she needed a background. I'd had an idea of a bed with integrated breathing equipment, so that went into the ...

Because things have snowballed as they have with this project I decided I'd better get myself a domain name and website up and running.
So I spent a couple of days building phetishskin.com.
The site is basically a gallery of my art (all of which, as my supporters you already have here) a set of links to my various social medias and a landing page for a store that I'm hoping to set up.
I'm currently looking in...

Just a simple design to say thank you to my followers, supporters and everyone who has been cheering me on since I undertook this journey.
So very humbled by how everyone has responded to the weird things that go on inside my head. It's wonderful to have found a place to express them and people that understand.

Here are the iterations along the way in this painting.
I was asked to paint something like 'Queen Takes Pawn' and decided to really push the perspective to create a more expansive scene and include more characters.
Major changes along the way were to make the background characters male, not female (I love the female form so instinctively make all my characters feminine) and tweaks and refinements to Mistress Lacy herself, because, well, drawing at that angle is kind tricky.

This is my first commission for this fetish art project.
I was contacted by the lovely drponybatbond over on FetLife who asked me to create an adaptation of my 'chess' piece 'Queen Takes Pawn' featuring Mistress Michelle Lacy (https://www.michellelacy.com/)
The piece features Mistress Lacy with two ponies, their costumes as accurate as I could paint them, one of them based on the good Dr's own outfit.
It ...

A little update - I'm just finishing off work on my first latex art commission which I'll share with you when it's all done and the client is happy for me to do so.
In the meantime - just wanted to wish you well and thank you for your support.
Once I'm wrapped up on the commission it'll be back to painting as usual - I have a hankering to paint something very heavy rubber, featuring lots of 2021-09-09 07:56:44 +0000 UTC

After my 'chess' piece (which turned out to be very well received) I decided to take on something a little lighter weight and paint one of my most favourite dressing-up outfits based on a delicious nurse's outfit from Westward Bound. Introducing 'Nurse P' who I decided should be featured in a scene administering some kind of 'therapy' to Nikki.
In my initial sketch I left the nurse's hand open and tried a number of different things for her to hold from outsized syringes, insertable prob...

Here are a few of snapshots along the way as I painted in on top of the flats.
I decided to begin by painting in some of the background details before then switching to concentrate on Nurse P, and then working on Nikki.
I generally tend to work this way because firstly, I'm not a fan of painting backgrounds so by forcing myself to do a bit of work on them early saves me a slump at the end of the painting and secondly it means that while I'm painting the foreground I've got s...

As I'm taking you through in my process in detail on this work - here's a snapshot of how I've broken down the picture. Each part of the picture has been separated out into its own colour layers and named (as it's easy to lose track).
Now with everything isolated it's time to start painting all of the shading and details on top of each of these 'flat' layers, knowing that, for instance while I'm painting the shading and reflections on Nurse P's dress I don't have to worry about ac...

So I think I'm there with the sketching. Decided that Miss Nikki is definitely in a predicament here. But after putting her in the picture, the tricky thing is figuring which kind of predicament - indicated by whatever our nurse is holding in her hand and any additional 'equipment' that Nikki is subjected to.
Well, I had about 8 or so ideas for what Nurse P could be holding (insertables, restraints, masks, you name it) - each drawn on a separate layer. I wondered what kind o...

Just posting the very first sketch of my first painting after having set up this Patreon. Because I've had to do a lot of admin, writing and setting up to get this going I decided to make my next piece a little simpler - drawing one of my favourite dressing up outfits and putting her in a fun scenario.
So this is literally where I am as of Wednesday 18th August, about to, I think put Miss Nikki from my other paintings in a delicious predicament with the nurse here, and to think of somet...

Thank you for supporting me.
So, in order to catch up from the start of this art project to when I began my Patreon, here are the initial sketches that I made before painting each work.
Not all the sketches are complete - there are a lot of background construction lines and other layers that I used to get to this initial sketch but while building up each painting I tend to discard those or overpaint them to save on file size.
I generally start with a very loose sketch and bu...

I was tagged in a post featuring a ball hood and that set me pondering how I might do something interesting featuring them.
It made me think of pawns in a game of chess, and so I took a swing at designing some appropriate costumes.
I originally sketched the queen as being in full heavy rubber with a respirator but then decided to try a version exposing her face.
While I like the version without the mask, I felt the one where you could only see her eyes made a much, muc...

This piece I painted by way of a thank you to Miss Velour (www.missvelour.com/).
She discovered my work online, sent me some lovely, supportive messages and took a great effort to share my work with her audience, which in turn boosted my visibility.
So I asked permission to paint her portrait and she gave me free reign to do so. I chose one of my favourite outfits that she has posted pics of online and did m...

I polled the folks on DeviantArt asking what subject they'd like to see more of - 'Heavy Rubber' was the category that won by an overwhelming margin.
So I set about trying to pack as much heavy latex, tubing, gas masks and layers as I possibly could in one scene, and building on my experience painting the transparent latex in Escort to Hedone decided to go all out on that too.
In terms of variations, I decided to push the limits for an uncensored version by showing a lot of bare f...

This image came from a dream - a very sexy one at that - being dressed like this and lead down the 'Stallion Corridor' by two nurse-like figures.
Which comes to the question of the gender of characters in my paintings. I'm male and straight and my wiring means I'm attracted to feminine features and I enjoy drawing those things.
But, for me the power of the latex masquerade allows body shape and gender to be played with in the most delicious ways. Stepping outside of our ordinary s...

I received an encouraging comment over on DeviantArt asking to see more maids, so that was enough for me to find a subject for this piece.
I decided to focus on a single character and explore a scene close to the floor - a different perspective from my other scenes.
I'm a sucker for latex bloomers, frills and mop caps, so all of those things went into the design of her artwork - the rubber gloves and large boots are inspired by photos by Peter Czernich - one of the gods of latex f...
