Footage from a Soviet Ghost Town

This is footage I found that I had filmed many years ago that I thought my patrons might find interesting, even if I'm not the best cameraman. Good news! I've fully finished editing my latest video on Joker (2019) and Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. It's currently exporting so it should be public within a day or two. I'm excited for you to see it!

Update on upcoming videos

Finished writing the script on Joker and the Dark Knight. I ended up talking about class, mental health, social isolation, as well as alienation, particularly in the work of Erich Fromm, and also a little bit about the significance of riots in our "age of riots" as Alain Badiou called it.

At the same time, I wrote a good deal of the script on urban guerrillas, though it's hard to say how soon I'll finish it because there's so much to potentially cover. I'll keep you updated.

Working on new scripts

Since the two winning topics in the last poll were 1) an analysis of Joker/The Dark Knight, and 2) a video on 70s left-wing terrorism, I'm currently trying to develop both scripts at the same time. I'm thinking that, since my last video was a historical one, I'll try to come out with the Joker/Dark Knight video first, so as to produce more classic movie analysis type content before doing another historical video.

The "Spartacist Uprising" and the Death of Rosa and Karl

It took longer than 24 hours to export, but it's finally here – part 3 of my series on the German revolution (just in time between the anniversary of Hitler killing himself, and labor day). I would say that I hope you'll enjoy it, but it's a very depressing video, so I at least hope that you find it informative and enlightening. Movie upload: Trotz alledem! (1972)

I'm currently halfway through editing my 3rd video on the German revolution, and this is a movie you can occupy yourself with while waiting. It's an East German movie that I've used a lot of clips from for my German revolution videos. Currently finishing up the script for part III of the German Revolution series, and will start recording the audio soon. I decided that for now I'll keep it a trilogy, ending with the January uprising and the death of Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht.
