A big happy Saturday friends! 

Page 9, fresh out of the oven. I really appreciate all the patience and support on this one. Lots of IRL things have been happening over here to distract me, but also doing such a big aggressive payoff-angle like that, with SO much going on - took a ton of time and iteration. Progress!!!!

I knew this one would be a thoughie; but gosh is it turning out fun =D
I'll fix up the size of our trio in that last panel toward the end (I'm not sure if I'll expand the room up (better but, maybe difficult with word balloon's), or shrink the characters (Worse because of artifacts!).

I though about letting you all vote on the color of the cage; but I really wanted it to pop, and doing a soft black that almost matches Nicks nose? Works a treat.

Aw heck, these panels just make me so dang proud. Hope you like them, friends! They're a slightly higher size; so hopefully good for your devices - let me know if you make use of them on a phone or something - I love knowing it, when you all do that =D

Ties That Bind - Page 8 Finished!

We made it fam! I finally finished the page yesterday =D You all have been so gosh-darned patient - thank you, as ever for all the kindness and love you send me here. It truly means the world.

Taxes hit me hard this year - not so much in the cost, but in the amount of time, I had to put in to get it right. Why is it so touuuugh? Just let me pay what's owed dang it!=/

Heard from some of you concerned about a lack of updates!

I'm fine, no car crashes or anything like that. Just got absolutely slammed by the tax preparation and season this past two weekends. Ties That Bind - Page 7 WIP (Inks & Pencils)

Got a guest staying with me so can't write too much with the post. 

Finally ready to move onto the flats for this background (those characters took way longer than I expected - I wanted to draw so many more folks but am deciding to call it good to keep things rolling). Some stuff I wish I could change, but all in all pretty gosh-darned happy with it too =D Hope you enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed noodling on it.

Script updates & Sketchup render (Exterior of Owens place)

Here's a spoiler-free set of screen captures of the rough SketchUp model I threw together for the exterior of Owens apartment. I'll be drawing this thing up for a full page. It'll help me have time to explore the script/s (bellow), and will serve as a time-setup-cleanser between pages of faces! Script rework? (Spoilers!)

Ok, I think I've had a revelation with regards to my script for the current chapter. 

A lot of you might remember that I've struggled with this script. There's so much to write down and so many monologue scenes where it's JUST faces, and the chapter was looking at being a billion pages. I've tried to trim and rewrite and all sorts multiple times, but each time walked away feeling unsatisfied going 'I'll revisit when it's closer to the time'.

Poured a lot of sweat into this one, and so much of it's covered up and hidden away behind the text - of course, :D Figured I'd save out the 3rd panel as a stand-alone image, as I'm feeling super proud of it. My higher-tiered hero's; I just realized I'd never come up with a solid second name for Owen.

It's a supppper low priority thing. But if you all ever think of one, I'd love to hear it here!

In my notebook jotted down a bunch of fox-trickster-god's names, but that's taking things too seriously. Zootopia second names are pretty base.

It's finally DONE!

I hope you like it, friends! This was a really fun page to make, and a lesson that maybe I should do more easy wide shots ;D After this next page, I'm gonna give myself a few big-wide-ones.

Kinda sore that I couldn't use this little Owen face in the final panel, but I just couldn't get it to fit and look right, so ended up having to shelve it! So here he as a bonus, fretting away!
