Took a bit longer than I'd hoped (like 16-18 days rather than the 14 I'd hoped for), but I'm feeling really positive. I can't wait for you all to see this page!
Today's page had more panels in it than the last one, and since the chapter is a 'chatty one' I think we'll be speeding up as we get away from these scene opening pages. Whooo knows. All that matters is that I'm feeling happy and proud of it - and I'm hoping you will too!

I finished Page 1, woop woop! Big wide establishing shots. And then, lots of tweaking for the 'look' and feel.
Feeling REALLY proud of this one. Thank you to all the higher-tiers who voted and dialed me in for the background treatment: really helped me figure things out. In the end, I/we decided that I'd keep the pencil backgrounds for the wide shots and then strategically use some depth of Field Blur for things like close-ups.
Gotta say; it IS fun working on these ...

Help me out here, my higher tier friends.
Which of these is the most appealing to you?
(C & D would get cleaned up a bunch if we opt this way)
What's the difference? Some have the background pencil lines, for a gritty hand drawn vibe. Some have no lines (to help the characters 'pop') for smooth vibe. Some use Blur to help foreground and background separate out (and to give characts some more 'pop')

Managed to put a fair few hours into this past few days. Had hoped to be a few stages ahead - but inking took longer than I expected!

Fiddled with the story some more, and feel like it's gotten to a good place.
Things I'd still like to do to it:
- Find more 'Nick Voice' for the middle section.
- try to trim and slim as I go.
- Need to do a typo/punctuation pass.

Here's a question for you higher-tiered heros!
As part of this whole, 'I might be laid off soon' deal, I'm considering some overhauls of how I do business, and how I work on Amadose. Maybe I start work on a page-a-time. Maybe I do the occasional commish. Maybe I overhaul the tiers and raise them up past the low levels I set them for (I think the pricing is great for Amadose-as-a-hobby, but full-time Amadose? Gosh this past week has wrecked me! Really ground to a halt, from the IRL 9-5, family and all sorts. I suppose too, I'd pushed hard on the Hourlies and my brain decided 'NOWS time to stop'. That how it goes I guess; bit bursts of speed and then slowdowns.
Anyway, all just excuses to say I'm running behind on my own project - hopefully, I'll crush these QnA pencils soon!

I hadn't realized it but, it looks like all the inline images I've been using for my posts have been getting downsized by Patreon!
Just letting you all know that I upload 'attachments' to each post, THOSE jpgs should be the higher resolutions. I guess I might try the other upload methods Patreon has to offer next time.

Took a little bit longer than I expected on these! Finding all the ref I wanted to look at while I start pencils takes TIME. I try to fill my document up with lots of little poses and bodies, from other artists, manga's, photos, and stills from the film. Anything to help me with my weakest artistic skill; anatomy and pose. It's all a starting place; I make sure to build on that stuff and generate something new and different.
Maybe now that the pandemic is easing up I might sign up...

Really wanted to sneak these in before July hit - two days late - not the worst!
Flipped flopped with the text on these pages. Started to write all kinds of things, that ultimately just didn't match the mood or the 'end of chapter' vibe. So opted for something basic and the equivalent of a fade-out for the script. I hope you all approve; a friend put it in a fun way; that on the final page it's like I'm cucking the reader!

Righto, I threw together a bunch of the harder questions I was keen to tackle in the upcoming QnA. I even tried to answer them roughly as a first pass.
