CPBBD ZOOM CLASS
In the sweltering Central Texas heat of early October we examine a cast of species growing in the prairies of the Ft. Worth Region, notable for being where the Mesquite (#Prosopis glandulosa) - an extremely important tree ethnobotanically as well as ecologically - first begin to appear if headed West. We also see a few of the species that inhabit the dry limestone outcrops known for having a very thin topsoil, such as Silphium albiflorum, Hymenopappus tenuifolius, & Vernonia lindheimeri. ...

This video may never go public do to the stupid drug war. Waiting for consultation from experts in the field of Peyote conservation to see if this video could potentially jeopardize the person keeping this sanctuary maintained, protected and safe from legal harassment, despite him being licensed and with NAC.

Michigan's Upper Peninsula is home to a wealth of ancient #Proterozoic jewels of geology, such as #stromatolites and metamorphosed pillow basalts, as well as some lovely iron mines and remnant rustbelt infrastructure. We find two species of orchids, man-made mountains at the edge of an iron mine, and a species of shelf mushroom that only grows on birch trees.
#Euphrasia stricta
#Antennaria parviflora
#Spiranthes incurva
#Picea glauca
Won't be releasing this for a couple weeks, and I still have a shit ton of clips to put together from the upper peninsula of Michigan, where we slept by the railroad tracks in a Birch/Abies forest every night sipping fizzy water and puffing on HIGH-CBD weed and botanized and lurked around rock outcrops and bogs during the day making videos. Enjoy the Banded Iron formations...

I can't imagine this will be a hit, but it's my hope to simply light the flame for more people and get them interested in learning about this stuff. So here's an introductory crash course on flower morphology for those with no background or education in botany. Video is still private to anybody who's not a Patreon supporter and I've got a few tweaks to make but here's the meat of it. Feel free to message me with feedback or questions and thanks again to all of you for your support

Spent some time around old haunts yesterday and made a video. Here's a sneak peak for Patreon supporters. Thank you all for your support and apologies if you wrote and I never responded. Don't hesitate to write me again, my mind is like a box of pinball thoughts bouncing around all at once and sometimes and I simply forget to respond.

Hi guys, took this down after letting it ride for a day. I took it down because it's a little too "front and center" for my style and for the dumpster fire that is the general public... I like to keep a low profile for a number of various reasons, but here it is for any patreon supporters. Also, Google went in to my drive and removed some of the books (like botany illustrated). I guess if a folder on Google drive has sharing enabled they can do this and vet the files for copyright infringemen...

Hey all, got a line up of videos staged. And more to throw together. Thanks for your support and for being patient. Central Chile is in a drought right now... The Northern Deserts had more flowering. We're lurking around in a sketchy white van with El Chavo del Ocho painted on the side of it, chasing flowers and singing profanity-laden tourrettes songs to ourselves out loud. Anything to avoid being taken seriously. Here's a Grey Fox that has apparently been semi - domesticated (at least I ass...
2019-12-11 22:58:37 +0000 UTC View PostSome footage of me and Al fucking around in Chicago over the weekend. Not releasing this because it gets off to a slow start and isn't really worthy of being published, but there's a few bits in here that are ridiculous and hilarious, especially if you are familiar with the zeitgeist of the tri-state area. Most notable are the references to "suburban Goths" and the almost-obsessive conviction that one is being hazed and intentionally trolled by the theft of an Ipass toll tag. Plus, there are ...
