This will be the last recording from my old piano lady - which is already at her new/old owners place by now. She (yes, I think that specific piano is female haha) got picked up on Friday morning already, well, at least, that's how it was planned initially. Berlin, April '23

Here I'm looking through the lens of this camera - like I'm looking back on this year right now. Lots of experiences were made within the last months, I learned a lot, had wonderful and hard very hard moments. But feeling more secure within myself now, a little older, a few more wrinkles showed up (haha, appreciating those though).

Hoping for a 2024 which overall feels a little lighter. I'm optimistic :)

I apparently keep on presenting a different piano sound to you every week: This one is my mum's old Blüthner. It actually belonged to her sister before and only made its way to the countryside outside of Berlin a couple of years ago, when my mum moved out of our flat in Berlin and left her piano there for me - I preferred hers and had a way stronger connection to it, as it was the first piano I've ever played on.

Today's improvisation might be a little inspired by the wonderful film score by Yann Tiersen for "Amélie", which I played through the other day at a friends place, really late in the evening. Home Story @Berlin

Visited a beautiful, beautiful acoustic concert here in Vienna yesterday night, with the music of Ivory Tusk and Ian Fisher. It was so, so wonderful to be here, just listening to other artists being their pure self, sharing without a filter what they're feeling. It truly filled my heart and opened my soul - and reminded me of the beauty of music.

Sunday piano meditation - no. 6

Back in Vienna, playing on my old pitchy piano here. We're in F# minor today.

It is a warm autumn sun filled day outside, but I have stayed at home so far - it is good to spend some time inside, retreating, hibernating from time to time as well. I don't remember when was the last weekend that I spent so much time by myself at my place actually. And I think, it was and is a good decision. :)

'Lilian' - Polaroids @Berlin

As you've probably seen I shared the teaser for my upcoming music video with you a couple of days ago - we shot a good amount of polaroids on that day, here are some of them. I love the oldfashioned style of these colors, always did, it's such a special way of creating memories directly in the moment and being actually able to directly hold them in yours hands.

Sunday piano meditation - no. 3

Maybe some of you recognize the theme of this improvisation - I played this melody for the first time at my mum's piano in Brandenburg, Germany, a couple of years ago. Every time I play it it's a little different, especially the B-Part, but I still like the mystical atmosphere a lot.
