We're nearing the end of the year. The winter solstice is Tuesday, marking the longest night of the year. The most glorious news! I logged into Patreon and saw that they've been working on doing their own video hosting so I no longer have to use third-party video hosting like Vimeo or YouTube. In 1953 Bettie Page did a spread in Carnival Magazine called "This Is As Far As You Can Go" that gave visual representations, showing what the laws were in each state regarding the state of undress. While not officially recognized like some other month-long celebrations of heritage, NAHM is usually declared by the standing president at the end of October and begins on November 1st. While it's nice in theory to have these months of celebration and acknowledgment, it's better to also change the harmful behavior. It's like punching someone in the face and saying, "I recognize your struggle and it is valid," while continuing to beat them up.

Well, I’m still not home. My flight was totally fucked so I found myself in Chicago with my niece who has been a lifelong nanny to a beautiful baby grrrl named Amaya. I’ll fly out today hopefully!
My niece Alaina has been helping raise Amaya since she was 2 months old. 6 years later they’re still rocking and rolling day in and out. I never grew up with a nanny, my parents usually couldn’t afford to even pay a babysitter when we were young. but I truly love this little baby girls...

What an eventful trip! I had much needed week with my son Miles and his partner Amy , my mom, dad, sisters, nieces and nephews and my aortic warrior BFF, which was just incredible.
