So we are staying in the blast zone of the ATT Nashville terrorist attack. Some windows have been replaced but still lots of damage.
A few doors down the Buldings are literally crumbling. The street is closed down because of the falling rubble.
I read that the managers and servers from 21c went home to get blankets for the guests and folks on the street during the chaos.
Nashville has been hit so hard....

We made it back alive!
Everything is shut down in Nashville and surrounding areas. Even Starbucks!
We had a long day of ice road adventures and then Diversity training via zoom after I got home so I’m exhausted and ready for a hot bath.
We try to get some food downstairs in the restaurant but they had stopped serving food because they had run out. They were making BLTs for the guests because nobody can really leave the hotel right now. But the bar is still open!

So I just had to make the decision to shut down production for the day because of the massive ice storm that has started to blanket Columbia Tennessee and is headed for Nashville. We are supposed to get 11 inches of snow, we did not anticipate the ice rain. Since we are still on the road driving, We are going to take it slow.

It really wasn’t too bad to be honest. The drive to San Juan from Rincon was calm and it’s early in the morning so there was very little traffic.
I’m always pretty cranky in the morning so Jeremy took very good care of me and made sure I had everything that I needed so that was a simple trip. He is the best at that! He does it at home and Haley doesn’t while I’m on the road. I have the best of both worlds.

This big conch shell washed up this week in Puerto Rico after we had some very big waves. Conch shells have many different important meanings in many different cultures besides just the meat inside. Bit by bit it’s coming along.
I’m still in progress with this wave mural but I’m happy with how it’s taking shape. Lots of refining to do and today I’ll start the other side. I’m hoping to finish it before I leave for the states to work with Pickers again on the 7th.
I’m reminding myself to not obsess over it, to take it moment by moment and enjoy the process. Something I have to remind myself of regularly.

I was flipping through Netflix and saw the movie Radium Girls. I realized that years ago I had visited this Radium Girls museum. I think it was in Ottowa Iowa.
The museum was incredible! I was immediately obsessed. Jeremy took me there on a day date and we learned so much. I could envision the details with the vast history in there. I was surprised to see so much on the topic. It was a true museum adventure.
