Well, that’s the end of that year.

Bloody hell. I sort of did a recap last week, so I won’t go over it all again. With hindsight it was a mix of the absolutely terrible, a lot of good, and some stuff that was transformative in a pretty profound way.

Sadly, we didn't catch the moment when we were filming the finale - with the UFO lights - and a car stopped to give us assistance, because the driver thought the lights were from our crashed car. Which would be funny had I not almost gone over the ledge for real (the aftermath of which we do have on video...).

Hello, you lot. Well, we’ve had our Christmas Part 1… which comprised our trip to Brighton, followed by the rest of the kids – and grandsons – coming to visit. That was lovely.

The rest of our Christmas should be fairly quiet by our standards, but that’s what we need. I think there’ll be a lot of reflecting and taking stock of the past 12 months, which have been properly life-changing.

DIDN'T EXPECT TO SEE YOU HERE!

We went to Brighton on Friday. Got home about 4.30pm yesterday afternoon and I went straight to bed. Was asleep by 5pm. Between sorting out my mum’s house, the UFO video, and clearing the day job decks for Christmas, it was just sheer exhaustion I think. Still knackered today. Looking forward to a much quieter rest of the month, and perhaps a slightly easier start to 2025.

Weirdly, on our way down to Brighton, we stopped off at Pease Pottage services for a wee (Wees Poottage Services)...

EARLY ACCESS: THE UFO VIDEO

It's here! At last! The product of almost six weeks worth of work - the most complex, involved, video we've ever made. Objectively, the best we've ever made too; a proper feature-length documentary, done as only we can.

I've spent every spare minute working on this for over a month, we've travelled hundreds of miles, spoken to experts, got eyewitness testimony, and come to our own conclusion. So... please share it far and wide if you can.

IT IS DONE - PLUS A LOOK AHEAD

The UFO video is done. No, really. Finally… it is complete. It’s rendering (very slowly) as I type, so we’ll give it a watch, check for any errors, then get it uploaded. It’s a whopper, so bear with us while that happens – it won’t be quick. But you’ll know the second it’s there.

It’s an hour and 20 mins, so about the same length as the big cat video. Frankly, we could've made it twice as long.

Kinnell. I got walloped by a migraine during filming on Friday (you'll actually see the moment it hits during the video). Managed to carry on afterwards, but yesterday I was floored by the postdrome phase, and spent most of it in bed.
