Like I mentioned, I've been working with Shannon Strucci on a new series of video essays exploring film stuff! Here's the first one, covering the lingering effects of the VHS format on film culture. I'd quite like for this series to be regular every month, so let me know what you think!

Things Are Happening

Just a quick little update: The set is being built! This'll give me a more controlled environment to shoot in (and break things against), and hopefully lend some future projects a more professional feel.

Once it's fully decorated, I'll probably do future streams from here too, including the charity stream I keep talking about doing. It also means that I can have guests literally sit on a couch with me instead of over skype or whatever, I think that's kinda neat.

YouTube Plagiarism and A Little Update

Hiya.

The new video was briefly up before BBC auto-copyright claimed it for a few sections, which I've disputed,and am currently waiting on a response. Obviously it falls within fair use, but we'll have to see.

In the meantime I'm working to put up a version on an alternative host and/or edit a version that isn't automatically picked up (only about 7 sections triggered the full-blown 'automatically block this video' thing).
